Kaneski has a past in Hip Hop Dj'ing/Turntablism which still informs his sets today. He has meanwhile broadened his scope, ever searching for the wayward beat. With an informed, subtle and dedicated mixing style he blends different genres and grooves.

Mark played live at a small show as Terrence Grindrocket for Meakusma in 2017.supporting Mei Tahat with tape machines, mics, bells and some wind.  Runs the occasional record label R=A from a converted beehive in his bathroom.

Pretty Sneaky is a master of the non-linear, polyrhythmic groove, fusing UK bass and dub reggae roots with a minimalist electronic perspective. After releasing six 12inches on the Pretty Sneaky label, April 2021 saw the release of the first ‘Pretty Sneaky’ LP, a concept album of sorts fusing dub and free jazz dynamics with field recordings and a minimalist aesthetic approach.

Meakusma is an artist-focused collective in operation since 2004, organising concerts, club nights, workshops and - since 2016 - the Meakusma festival. The label focuses on musicians with a singular musical vision and operating outside of trends and tendencies.
