A requiem for all innocents caught up in the cycle of violence of all of those who use violence for political purposes.

The objective reality of Nature is a harsh mistress to us all, some more than others. Why do people choose to use the initiation of violence to solve political problems? They are driven by ideas that violate the rights of others... in pursuit of their dark visions that violate consent.

I wrote this dark piece as a requiem for all the innocents caught up in the violence and mass murderous acts of #all those who are dedicated to using and initiating aggression, violence, murder, weapons, destruction, ... to further their political goals. This applies to all who use violence. Self defense is one thing but the slaughter of innocents by any group of people is a war crime. War is never justice. As soon as one innocent is murdered those involved have become war criminals and need to be brought to justice.

Arpeggiating a chord and taking it where the feels lead me so that I could express the music that already existed in the realm of possibility. I actually arpeggiated two chords, one with each hand. The left hand sustained the dark notes throughout most of the piece. The right hand explored the other emotions.

The full title is Requiem For Innocents Everywhere And Everywhen.
It was one take till the emotion felt like it had been transcribed into music. No edits other than fade in/out and level adjustment.

The Roland JD-Xi is just damn extremely insane. This piece was created for, submitted to, and played at the Groundwerk Vancouver GW006 event. Six hours of jamming, then listening and selecting one six minute continuous clip. This is a complex set of layers with two synth tracks and twenty six drum kit instruments with evolving 64 step loops throughout the piece.

"Shaken Love" by Vilmos Anomaly debuted at the Groundwerk GW007 New Electronic Music Listening Party last week on 20160127 at the Anza Club in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Enjoy! 

"Shaken Love" is comprised of 26 tracks, 13 stereo channels, clips from over 20 jam sessions, merged into six minutes of musical soundscapes that evoke images in the mind's eye. Take a journey with Anomaly The Cat as your protector.

Update 20170707: I've been told recently that Shaken Love fits into the Musique Concrete style of Pierre Henry, as he passed away today it seems fitting that in addition to this being a tribute to Anomaly the Cat it's also a tribute to Pierre Henry and Musique Concrete, a composer and style I only learned about a day before his passing in a strange twist of fate.

Two Roland System-1m units (green lit top units), four Korg SQ-1 sequencers (red with two stripes each), two Moog Mother-32 units (black panels in right case), an Arturia MicroBrute and a BeatStep Pro, four Roland AiraFX units, an Intellijel Metropolis sequencer, HexInverter's Mutant Bassdrums, and plenty of other Eurorack modules.

Mutant Waves pour out of my cerebral cortex and all places where harmony may not ever have existed and may not yet. Modular Synthesis to melt your brain.  Mathematically all music exists at all times across eternity time, so when one "creates" music one is really exploring an existing mathematical space of possibilities and threading a fabric across spacetime in the audio domain. An excursion into this possible existence space of music and sound extracts these mutant waves into your brain. We are not responsible for your brain melting into new possibilities, but we do encourage you to take a leap into the realms of the possible and explore.
