"Wussup friends! I’m super stoked to share this mix with y’all. If you caught any of my sets last summer, it’s a pretty close recreation (minus the live sax). It features a bunch of my favorite producers and friends and many unheard dubs of my own. I packed about 56 tracks and a million different styles into an hour. We’ve always had a love for the deeper, sweeter, introspective and more uplifting versions of our beautiful bass music genres like Liquid Drum & Bass, Future Garage, Halftime, Footwork-Jungle and the other sounds these genres influence, are some of our favorites.  We also love hearing artists who traditionally produce some other forms of bass music, bring their vibe into the more ‘Future’ or ‘Liquid’ styles as it creates a fun new way of hearing or envisioning where these tunes could fit. Outside of that, we just love listening to stuff that is melodic, easy on the ears and also takes you on a bit of a journey. Often referred to as 'The First US Bass Music label' , Muti Music has been pushing emerging and established genres of bass music since 2002.
Muti  Music = Medicine Music.
In South African English, the word "muti" is used to refer to all sorts of herbal medicine. It is derived from the Zulu/Xhosa word umuthi, meaning "tree," whose root is -thi. In Southern Africa, "muti" and cognates of umuthi are in widespread use in most indigenous African languages as well as in South African English and Afrikaans, which sometimes use "muti" as a slang word for medicine in general, or even as a term for 'good luck'.
