Disco Halal alumni, Indieveed and YAME, release their debut collaborative single, ‘Polaris’. A nod to the eccentric 80s disco of Yello and Devo, but with an interstellar twist.

The origins of the tracks production came from Indieveed, known for his melodic and atmospheric sound, but it was when YAME stepped into the studio that the wild nature of ‘Polaris’ came to fruition. As they describe “This track was influenced by disco of 80s and 90s music but presented our way. First, the music recorded by Indieveed appeared, after which YAME were invited to add their customary, tongue-in-cheek vocals and production elements".

‘Polaris’ has one aim, to make people dance, and it does one hell of a job.

'Having started his love affair with music from a young age onwards, Sam Shure’s native talent and his ever-evolving skill set made him one of the stand-out artists making their mark on the global scene since 2016. Pairing adventurous electronic sound design with highly harmonic, melody-driven songwriting, Sam’s output is continuously developing as he adds new textures and layers to his signature, pushing his own creative boundaries. Son of an Egyptian Jazz musician, his appetite for musical creativity and artistic expression has been cultivated since his early childhood.

After a series of successful releases, Sam Shure brings his unique sound signature to Clash Lion with the "Sherbet Queen" EP. The music is characterized by its catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and expertly crafted beats. It's difficult to define the genre of the EP, as it draws influences from a variety of different styles, including techno, house, and minimal. However, this genre-blending approach only adds to the appeal of the music, making it accessible to a wide range of listeners and DJs.

The first track of the EP, "Echo Park", defies easy categorization, blending elements from techno and house to create a sound that is both unique and compelling. At its core is a strong and catchy bass line that provides the backbone for the entire track. The bass has a funky yet hard quality that gives the track a sense of energy and drive, with an irresistible break that adds to the overall dynamism and creates a moment of tension and release. The second track, "Modus Operandi", is a bit harder, with driving beats and strong percussive sounds that are sure to get listeners moving. Trippy sound effects add a psychedelic element to the track, adding depth and complexity to the overall sound. The contrast between the intense rhythms and the soundscapes creates an engaging listening experience that is both powerful and otherworldly.'

Danny B returns to Sublease Music for his second outing on the label in 2023 with two tracks of sublime deep house. 

The Spanish producer and DJ gives us Nightrider and Undra, both drawn from the same cloth but giving us two different moods. 

Nightrider is a slick, deep excursion into loopy house, with an undulating pad sample providing the tension over a crafty rhythm track. 

Undra is a more driven track - an urgent beat kicks things off before the track builds into a house-y groover, with deep chords and tight drum programming.
