Theus Mago es el alter ego del reconocido productor mexicano Mateo González, responsable de proyectos de música electronica como Bufi (Kitsuné / Discotexas), Sonido Fantasma (Turbo Recordings) y actualmente co-director del sello Duro.

Este nuevo lado de Mateo es una consecuencia de la necesidad de explorar y experimentar con un lado más oscuro, con ondas frías y influido por el techno.

En 2015, Theus Mago lanzó "Ritmo Extraterrestre" a través del sello francés / alemán Correspondant, ganándose el apoyo de grandes nombres como Solomun (Official), quien lo incluyó en varias de sus presentaciones de 2015.

Desde entonces, el proyecto paralelo de Bufi ha tenido una racha constante de lanzamientos sólidos en etiquetas reconocidas en todo el mundo, como Lumiere Noire, Turbo Recordings, La Dame Noire, Ombra Intl y próximamente en Optimo (2019).

Bawrut is a hero of ours, a brother and a friend - he was the first man to feature on the label and has since gone on to roaring success with his music having been championed by everyone from Avalon Emerson to Skream, Andrew Weatherall to Patrick Topping, Optimo to Roman Flugel and beyond. His sound seems to find wide appeal across a spectrum of genres and sits firmly atop the niche - universally danceable and endlessly fun. He's made many friends along the way and his energetic, warm hearted approach to dance music is exactly what is needed in the current climate of seriousness and fabrication. 

His new EP is set for release on Ransom Note Records and 'Pronto Arpeggio' has already been a roaring success across the clubs and festivals this summer - he smashed it. The release is rounded off with remixes from KiNK and Ruf Dug and it's about as big as they come.

Bawrut: The 'Wednesday Alternative' Mix

With releases or remixes on his mother-label Ran$om Note, Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Atomnation or Duro plus another remix for British Pop/Electronica band Metronomy it's hard to deny that Bawrut's been musically on fire in 2019 and continued what he had started the year before when his 'star' began to shine. The reasons for the rise of the Madrid-based producer can be simply explained through the artist's versatility, still Bawrut's productions are easily to be recognized amongst other music as his tracks always contain a certain 'roughness' with the right amount of edginess that make them stand out from others. His art:cast takes the same line and blends various (electronic) music genres, includes tracks that create a calm after or before the storm. Warm rhytmical takes set the base to be mixed with rough or creaking tunes as if the listener is pulled to the dance floor from his tropical resort to be then sent to spheres he's not discovered during this little mental trip yet. Bawrut art:cast surprises his audience due to its unpredictability just like the artist's approach to produce music. What is for sure though is that one can rely on Bawrut's skills to create music that outlasts current trends and this mix surely will do.
