Love techno.

Si or Simon started his love affair with music back in the 80’s attending Hawkwind gigs and after a few visits to London from his home in Cornwall was struck by electronic music in spaces like the George Ruby and Whirlygig. 
Searching out electronica became a weekend activity, with trips to Plymouth and down West to Shire/wetback parties, and to the Bowgie. 
It wasn’t long before he started putting on his own parties, small affairs first of all, up to that time ‘we could have booked Carl Cox for 400 quid’ but ended up literally wasting it on some over hyped local talent. 
This was 93. 
After being left with the decks and a few records at an after party and having a bit of tuition from DJ Scotty, Si began to work away at building a set.  
In the beginning he was playing a lot of straight house, with the ethos of ‘ if you get lost, just go back to Todd Terry’. 
This seemed to work and Si enjoyed gigs in the Blowing house and a lot of other underground parties throughout Cornwall. 
After having his ‘crate’ stolen at a party, Si was left with the dubs and harder tunes in his selection. 
This made him take a fresh look at his set, almost to totally rebuild it and follow the harder sound which he does to this day. 
Si has since held a residency in Spain, played throughout France and beyond. 
He has also had a regular slot on Pirate revival radio, and more recently FMR, which is also ongoing. 
In more recent years he was integral to the Full Contact nights, warming up for Chris Liberator, Mark EG amongst others. He also works closely with Orbital Gathering, Lizard parties, Frenzy and Project Storm becoming a mainstay on the Cornish party scene. He also has been involved with Love for life and the consequent ctown parties. 
Given the chance to curate the now infamous Engine House parties, he is now well known for creating multi genre nights with the DJs at his disposal. This has lead to a fresh relationship with Cultural Vibes which is ongoing. 
He has recently launched the Cogs club nights to deliver an audio visual experience.
The result of this sonic journey, fluctuating from tech house to techno, are the sounds you now hear him play , tectrance,from the more techno side. This is his signature sound.
