Van mixtapes tot mainstage – mijn reis als DJ

Als kleine jongen was ik al verslingerd aan dancemuziek. Elke donderdag zat ik klaar voor de legendarische Ferry Maat Soulshow, met de taperecorder stand-by om geen seconde te missen. Muziek zat er vroeg in – het draaien begon toen ik vaak te vinden was bij Locomotion in Zoetermeer. De vaste DJ daar, Jack Henneken, zag mijn passie en gaf me de kans om te leren. Als de club net open was, mocht ik de draaitafels even overnemen om te oefenen. Dat waren de eerste stappen achter de decks.

Toch moest ik op een gegeven moment kiezen: topsport en lange nachten in de club gingen niet samen. Maar mijn liefde voor muziek is altijd gebleven.

Vandaag de dag draai ik VOL op  – met mijn eigen professionele DJ-setup en een sound die staat als een huis. Ik verzorg sets op allerlei evenementen: van strandfeesten en bruiloften tot bedrijfsevents en clubs. Elke gig is uniek, maar één ding blijft hetzelfde: ik breng de energie, het ritme en de sfeer die jouw event onvergetelijk maakt.

From mixtapes to mainstage – my journey as a DJ

As a little boy, I was already addicted to dance music. Every Thursday I was ready for the legendary Ferry Maat Soulshow, with the tape recorder on standby so I wouldn’t miss a second. Music was something I got into early – I started spinning when I was often found at Locomotion in Zoetermeer. The resident DJ there, Jack Henneken, saw my passion and gave me the chance to learn. When the club had just opened, I was allowed to take over the turntables for a while to practice. Those were the first steps behind the decks.

At some point, I had to choose: top-level sport and long nights in the club didn’t go together. But my love for music has always remained.

Today, I’m spinning again – with my own professional DJ setup and a sound that’s rock solid. I provide sets at all kinds of events: from beach parties and weddings to corporate events and clubs. Every gig is unique, but one thing remains the same: I bring the energy, the rhythm and the atmosphere that makes your event unforgettable.

Glyndor is a UK Garage artist based in Vancouver, BC, bringing a fresh twist to the electronic music scene with a signature blend of deep basslines, syncopated beats, and smooth garage rhythms. Drawing from the roots of UKG and infusing it with modern EDM sensibilities, Glyndor crafts a sound that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Ellisworxs is a self taught Dj from Nottingham 
He started Dj'ing in the Early 90's on vinyl records and some cheap turntables, before buying himself a set of Technic SL1200 Mk2 

Later on he found himself Dj'ing at few smaller clubs and venues, in and around Nottingham. It wasn't until a few years ago that he regained his passion for Dj'ing and now is a co founder of Project X Events which is growing from strength to strength. 

Ellisworxs has played at few locations in London and Hertfordshire including Dirties nightclub (for I’am the music dance, where he is a resident Dj)The Vault, XOYO, Star Of Kings Bar. And most recently in Ibiza at the opening parties at Paradise Lost, Piropo Nightclub and Beach Club, he has also played a few corporate events in Ibiza

Started in 2002 both gentlemen have seen most parts of the world in their career as a DJ. They have released many records in their career, many of which are featured on legendary imprints such as: Spinnin, Big Beat, Great Stuff Recordings, Toolroom, Stealth Records, Nervous among many others.

Years of finessing six-hour marathon club sets have shaped a recognizable sound marked by soulful, timeless vocals soaring over undeniable, relentless grooves.

Heads have been turning following his 2022 stand-out debut at Basscoast Music Festival - which was punctuated by an electrifying return to the festival in 2023 - and as he continues to deliver opening sets for a list of international acts including Mark Knight, Honey Luv, OFFAIAH, Coco & Breezy, Ben Hemsley, and Soulclap.
