Our eleventh podcast of 2021 comes from biøs! (@bios01h)

Biøs is a DJ, producer and sound engineer with over a decade of experience under his belt. His sound is focused around electro in both classic and modern forms. He is actively engaged in building scenes in Southern Poland: he runs Azymut studio and @skan-rec label in Katowice, and used to be resident of Kraków's Szpitalna 1. He was part of now defunct trio Urloop, whose Abyss EP was released by ARTS in 2015. Around the same time, he started promoting his first parties, working with such crews as @dypecrew and In Unity. 
Now, Biøs is working on his debut solo release scheduled for Fall 2021. „Spectral Substance”, a foretaste of what's to come was released by K-Hole Trax on a tape compilation. Biøs regularly appears in places important for Polish electronic music. He has played at Unsound, Up to Date, Upper, Audioriver festivals as well as most of the relevant clubs.

Penera is a group of two DJs and producers, who treat the boundaries of genres and styles quite freely. Their productions are a hybrid of modern electro and acid techno sounds, with a strong dose of inspiration from old school breaks, jungle culture and the vulgarity of the era during which the clubs were ruled by trance. They are associated with the P23 Katowice club and the SZOK initiative. At the beginning of 2021, they launched their label POTOP Records.

Inspired by the hypnotic sounds of techno - OrientTest is a representative of the Polish electronic music scene. He started his first steps mixing several years ago, and it was influenced by the first mixes he heard from artists such as Essence, Luks, Deckard, KCR, Sleeparchive or Steve Bicknell. OrientTest now draws inspiration from avant-garde and ambient music, as well as from the deep echoes of the early hypnotic dub. To unleash the various artistic sensations that flow through him, he releases the traits that define his personality and are an integral part of his live sets. The artist focuses on sophisticated electronics with the most abstract and complex techno, thanks to which the experiments often used by him lead to the sharing of unique emotions and experiences with his audience.

Potocki aka Panic system has been around as a DJ and promoter for more than 12 years, always serving a shuffle of styles, always going after a more versatile and more vibrant mix of music. As Potocki he covers wide areas of house and techno wheras under his second alias – Panic System – he mixes broken beats around the tempo of 70bpm. He is a co-founder and a member of two Poznan based collectives – Technokracja and Pralnia Elektroniczna. He has performed in most venues in Poland suporting many artists - Paula Temple, Perc, Randomer, Ansome, Phase Phatale, Codex Empire, Rockwell, Current Value, Distance, Sukh Knight, Goth-Trad, Plump Dj's, Lady Waks to name a few.

Aleksander Jagodziński is a Warsaw born, electronic music producer. He studied at Academy of Fine Arts where he developed his interest in art and culture. Now he attends to Academy of Movie and Television on sound engineering faculty. Since a year he is a member of Behind The Stage collective. His production and live performances are heavily influenced by a lot of XX-century classical music and ideas of beat generation poetry. He is constantly experimenting with different types of sound creation, recording vocals and searching for his own style. He treats his music as a dialog between himself, listeners boundries and what noise actually is.

Born deep in rural Poland, Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. Never bound to one musical style, whether as DJ, remixer or solo producer, he aims to bridge the gap between rhythmic grooves and the more experimental side of dance music.
Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a sonic walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive more than the musical genres themselves that seals the journey together. Constantly shifting his sound, Polanski has evolved over the last 20 years as a DJ. His ever-developing style and production techniques have given a new dimension to his sound.
Promoter and resident DJ of two London-based events; BLANC his solo project and Volt which he co-runs with Antonio de Angelis. With the rapid growth of the latter he reaffirmed his status as a selector, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, while at BLANC he continues to invite lesser-known artists’ and supports the local and the international up-and-coming talent.
As part of House of Reptile, not only he debuts his trademark sound with a first solo EP, but as well as Artist & Repertoire chief he oversees the roster of all the future releases.

Our third podcast of 2021 comes from BSHK! (@kamilbrishke)

BSHK is a young, 22-year-old artist from northern Poland. Despite his young age, he has already proved to be a great enthusiast of vinyl records from which he brings out the darkest techno sounds. Thanks to the contact in the years of growing up with instruments such as the classical guitar or the piano, he has been trying to transform his imagination into music production for some time.
His sets played live are accompanied by indescribable energy between the artist himself and the participants of the performance, which proves that a carefully selected selection together with the needs of the crowd creates a kind of symbiosis of impressions. 
The old school BSHK style, full of broken phrases, fast and dynamic transitions and backspins is something like a real rollercoaster of emotions. For him, emotions are the only and the shortest definition of electronic music.

Alexandra is a young DJ from the south of Poland. She started playing electronic music relatively recently. Graduate in guitar and piano classes. From an early age she was associated with music, but she directed her career in a completely different direction. Out of love for music, she decided to try her hand at a DJ. Together with the Wrocław team, The Visions, he travels through Poland, organizing numerous events. She had the opportunity to play in Iceland and Croatia at the Dimensions Festival alongside stars such as Jeff Mills, Objekt, Helena Hauff, Blawan and Nina Kraviz. In her sets she tries to combine various musical genres. Starting from classic 4/4, through acid, melodic, hard techno and new beat. Depending on the mood and circumstances, he also likes minimal, tech-house and Italo disco.

Zariush - Polish DJ, promoter and artistic manager of the legendary Projekt LAB club based in Poznan. In his sets he combines techno with industrial sounds, guitar riffs and EBM songs. Over his 10 years on stage he has co-organized countless amount of underground events in his hometown. His recent project VERZERRUNG (run together with MELANIA .) is probably the biggest regular show with ebm / industrial techno sounds in Poland, bringing such acts like Phase Fatale, Terence Fixmer, Schwefelgelb, Sarin, Imperial Black Unit or Operant among others. Besides Polish clubs and festivals, you could hear him in Berlin's Suicide Circus, Urban Spree or Dimensions Festival in Croatia.

vitcat - born in Warsaw, associated with Smolna club, where she is looking local artists for booking. She started her adventure with a DJing over 3 years ago, while participating in the Smolna Academy. Her first appearance before a bigger one audience during the after party after Revive. She had the opportunity to play at the festival Wisłoujście and GetMeHigh on Świeży in Rzeszów. She played in the biggest clubs in Poland such as Transformator, Tama, Sfinks700, Prozak 2.0, Luzztro, Patio Protokultura, Smolna or Iskra Pole Mokotowskie and in seasonal summer spots Nowa Rezydencja, PLENER and Woda Beach Bar. She is best at fast techno. She plays what she wants, likes and catches her ear.
