Wyróżnia go niesamowita energia podczas występów, unikalny styl w selekcji utworów oparty na różnorodności oraz ogromna wszechstronność. Za konsolą najchętniej prezentuje energetyczną mieszankę pompującego groovy techno, hardgroove i hard techno, oscylując w okolicach 140 i 150 bpm. Jak sam twierdzi: „niezależnie od tego co grasz najważniejszy w muzyce parkietowej jest groove, który nie pozwala ustać w miejscu”.

Występował w wielu miejscach w całej Polsce, w tym w takich klubach jak m.in. Smolna (Warszawa), Luzztro (Warszawa), Crackhouse (Gdańsk), Bunkier (Gdańsk), Sfinks700 (Sopot), STK-47 Warehouse (Kraków), Kombinat (Płock), Kultura Wysoka (Warszawa), Mózg (Bydgoszcz), Sixa (Katowice), Transformator (Wrocław), NRD (Toruń), a także na festiwalach takich jak Wisłoujście 2021 (Gdańsk), Sadzimy Techno Las 2022 i 2023 (Stefanów) oraz Middle of Summer 2021, 2022 oraz 2023 (Płock).

Wraz ze SkullFellaz prowadzi Techno Therapy Session, cieszący się dużą popularnością cykl imprez w formule “all night long”.

Na początku 2021 roku został nominowany w kategorii „Odkrycie Roku 20XX” plebiscytu organizowanego przez muno.pl - Munoludy.

Coming from small city in Poland (Silesia), currently based in Barcelona. Also part of the Technosphere Collective based in Kraków. Inspiration of ζoie is the dynamic, deep and raw sound of selected techno. Started playing after finishing a course in Institute of Sound in Kraków. What is important to her is to give the unique music journey experience for the people. So far she has played in Kraków, Katowice, Gdynia, Berlin and Barcelona. Soon it will be possible to listen to her own music.

Welcome to episode 09 of the Gekiga podcast. This week we’re proud to share a proper hypno mix by multitalented, Chilean native, DJ & Producer extraordinaire: Diego Oroquieta.

In his relatively short career, Diego has already dropped multiple EPs on some of the defining techno labels of the current era. Starting in 2021, Diego has released highly rated music on Muted Recordings (Portugal), Selected Recordings (Spain), Newrythmics (Spain), Olympian (United States), to name just a few. 

His tracks have been featured on sets by some of the best DJs of our time such as Marcell Dettmann, Adriana Lopez, Slam, DJ Nobu, Border One, Jeroen Search, Vertical Spectrum, Kaiser, Arnaud Le Texier, Wata Igarashi, Quelza , DJ Shufflemaster, Pfirter, Joseph Capriati, and many others.

Personally, I think Diego is one of the best young talents today. His tracks have a singular sound that is raw, primal, but highly sophisticated. GKG RECS is currently working with Diego towards our first collaborative release which will feature a blistering remix by the god of brutality himself: ENDPLATE. 

I believe Diego’s reputation and appreciation will only continue to rise as more diggers come around to his impressive and growing catalog.

We’re honored to feature Diego on GEKIGA podcast and our work together is just getting started.

'My previous selection was mainly based on fast tempo, tribal percussion, and an analog kick. In other words, a broadly defined groove. However, this set is completely different. Here, you will find deep, dark, noisy sounds, interrupted by offbeat elements. This selection feels to me a bit like a battlefield – sometimes raw, sometimes merciless. I think that after listening all the way through, you might share similar feelings'.

A graphic designer, painter, artist, and DJ (or simply: weirdo). A few years ago, as a teenager, he would sneak out of the house on night trains in search of techno music and himself. Today, he returns on those same trains from his own gigs. Despite his relatively short experience, he has already played at clubs such as Cel, Ciało, Czeska Sauna, Dom Technika, and Szpitalna 1. He is also a co-founder of the PATYNA® collective, which has recently stirred up quite a buzz on the electronic music scene in Opole.
