Where do I begin with this set...a outpouring from my heart...the transmutation of a massive facing the demons and shadows and opening week. Demons are good, when we let them be :) I'm sweating thinking about it! It all started with 1542, the second song. I was deep in some heart cave shit and turned on that song and it took me there. I came out of it with Echoes of Dance, so of course, that also had to be here. Oh yeah, and I just had a funeral for my old self so everything is new and fresh and so delicious. Pretty fucking stoked about this set.

Mix 10: Surprise

This was the opening set for SoulPlay Festival 2023 in Cobb, CA. SoulPlay is a 4 day immersive experience filled with transformational workshops, celebration, dancing, connection, and play.

My intention was to the vibe high for the pool on the first day. This track was very sexy and soulful with a lot of retro and afro inspired tracks.

This was my first SoulPlay and I am so grateful for the chance to play here. All the dancers were so embodied in their being. Thank you SoulPlay and dancers for your beautiful energy!

Ecstatic Dance X Contact Improv 4 - ANIMAL MAYHEM (Montreal)(04 Nov 2023)

Tonight is our third Ecstatic Dance Cobourg event, and as it is January, I felt that it would be meaningful to balance gentleness with space to shake and move all the pent-up feelings that can come from the holidays, and the expectations January may bring. In this dance we explore the beauty of the dark undercurrents inherent to human life, and rather than suppressing these more sombre feelings, as we might usually do, we make them into our treasured dance partners.

This time, we had to make the switch to dance on Zoom due to a major snowstorm. I am choosing to envision our whirling around with the wind and the snowflakes...and it was such a beautiful group, tonight ❤️❤️❤️

Setting the tone for the day ahead at the Boombox Stage on Sunday at Earth Frequency Festival was an absolute deeeeelight!

Morning Mojo, a much anticipated maiden voyage collaboration for The Shady Lady and Blossom Medusa merging their shared love and devotion to Meditation, Yoga, Music, Dance and Tea giving the people what they so desperately need by day three...a cuppa, a spangle informed stretch sesh and a thoughtfully designed soundscape to ease everyone into their day.

We were also so so spoilt on the day to have Cecilia Caleandro join us for the last portion of the set winding everything down to an eventual Sivasana Serenade with ethereal vocals, harp and flute leaving us all in the floatiest of moods. Alas this was not captured and stored as a recording on the day but the memory will stay with all who were there to behold.

The first and last chunk of this set is best enjoyed taking it easy in a cosy, comfortable position with soft or even closed eyes if that’s something that feels good for you then allow the music to be the guide. The pace rises and falls again with many worthwhile messages to be absorbed throughout and a Hare Krishna/Coolio remix you probably didn't know you needed!
