As a 20-year-old Malaysian-Canadian artist hailing from Toronto, xiv (short for excuses in vanity), wants nothing less than to have his voice heard. Being raised in the West while connected to his eastern roots, he has never been one to "fit in" and clearly displays this in his music, which is a versatile blend of genres such as pop, hip-hop, and r&b. Never being bound to any genre, xiv's intent is quite clear; he wants to be a part of the Asian representation movement to inspire others to dream.
