My Lo-Fi Heart’s music is characterised by its raw and unpolished sound, often embracing imperfections as an aesthetic choice. The whole thing is driven by a DIY ethos, played on and recorded with low-budget equipment, often found in charity shops. The result is music that feels intimate and authentic, with a certain charm which comes from its rough edges.

Combining the rawness of grunge, the psychedelic rhythmic pulsating beats of acid house, and the ethereal vibes of dream pop, the music suggests a wave of sound that’s both immersive and energetic, both gritty and surreal with a dreamy undertone that ties together the rawness and the rhythm in a unique auditory experience.

My Lo-Fi Heart is the solo project of Sheffield-based hoarder of musical instruments, Ian Turley.  

The music is a hypnotic, daydreamy, stream of consciousness drive into the weird, wonderful chaos of love … played out on jangly guitars, crackly analogue synths and dusty drum machines…. lo-fi love songs for lo-fi lovers…blending electronic beats to shoegazey guitars…dreamy techno grunge …
