Dong Zhuo appears as a ruthless figure in the early stages of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
　He abolished the emperor, moved the capital, plundered the city and committed other tyrannical acts.　
　
Dong Zhuo, along with the mighty general Lu Bu, was tyrannical. He also slaughtered Yuan Shao's clan, the leader of the anti-Dong Zhuo coalition.

People celebrated his death with dances and feasts.
It is said that this caused the price of meat and wine in Chang'an to soar.

A poem written in 1977 and later set to music in 1983. New recording 30/8/2022.

A word, a December smile, and a gate is closed;
A raped flame, ravaged, shudders tight in death's grim hold,
And flickering, bends to melt the sleeping frost, the loveless curse; 
To patch up weeping wounds of love bled in present past,
To cross love's sword with lover's ghost, a sordid bloodless duel.

What Other Girl

After realising I've got tinnitus, I've spent more time listening to ambient and environmental music. So here's my attempt at something 'environmental', with just the bare minimum of elements - piano, melody, synth sounds. I was tempted to add more, but stopped myself here....

Ambient Etude N°1

A wonderful contrast to the spring and summer songs with a wonderful atmospheric chorus. The fabulous melodic voice percussion adds a huge depth to the music in the chorus and gives it an almost mystical feel. This song tells the story of trees in autumn. (Reviews Unlimited)
