Rosati at Intercell x Voltage 2021

Co-founder of Counterweight and resident at the infamous Rote Sonne in Munich, we are happy to welcome Gonzo MDF onto our podcast series for episode 191. The spanish-born and now Munich -based DJ and producer is known for a rough and energetic sound, always packing a punch. Since it's inception Counterweight - which started as an event series in Munich - served to bring harder sounds to the Bavarian city, including the likes of Ansome, Dax J and Stranger. In 2017 the project developed into a records label, with it's releases garnering attention from some of the biggest names in the scene. In his own words,  Gonzo MDF is "simply a techno freak", and this unbound dedication to the craft can clearly be heard when he performs. In this guest mix Gonzo presents some hard 90's infused grooves alongside rawer tracks for your listening pleasure.

Kaan claims.. ‘I fell in love with this type of techno music when I heard a set by A&S nine years ago. It was definitely something else than the rest of the electronic music back in my hometown area. After I‘ve met like-minded people whom I call good friends today I started to learn producing and mixing techno tracks. Since then I‘ve managed to release some of my own productions in a digital as well as physical format and new cuts will come out soon as well’

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ MARCO BAILEY

Icon. Living legend. Both definitions that apply to Marco Bailey, a self-taught dj and  producer whose career started to develop in the late 80s after attending a local club in his native Belgium, and being completely seduced by the rhythmic power of dance music. 
That was when all changed. A first approach that triggered the decision to be behind decks instead of the dancefloor. And since then, he has committed his life to music. 
Three decades later, he’s known as an artist constantly pushing techno to its next level, this by producing his own tracks, managing his first own label MB Elektronics ( established in 2001 ), and of course, by travelling all around the world to make people dance and go crazy with his flawless technique and impeccable selection. 
During his career, he has released acclaimed singles, Eps and albums on labels like Primate, Drumcode, Bedrock, Intec, Arts etc, on each one of them demonstrating a forward thinking approach, and the desire to not just ignore, but break -or crush- the mold of what can be considered a trend in a certain moment. On each producion he stays 100% true to his instinct and beliefs, and that is an unbreakable pact with his heart.
Nowadays, as an innovator and an artist completely and permanently devoted to his craft, he’s at the helm of MATERIA, a concept that was born on 2015 as a successful event dedicated to techno in its purest form.
