Manchester based solo artist 'myjoy' crafts brooding synthpop straddling melancholy and melody. Hailing from a city with a proud tradition of misery, myjoy channels the spirit of Depeche Mode and other leathery gloom merchants, without the leather or massive international success. 

Some of myjoy's music has been described as "alright" and "not bad I suppose", with one critic even declaring "I don't actually mind this one too much" - though that may have been in response to someone else's track being auto-played afterwards.
