Bobby Messano has been writing and playing Blues music for over forty years. He is a multi-award-winning Contemporary Blues artist who garnered a Billboard Blues Chart #1 in 2015.  Even though he is considered a Blues-Rock artist, he has always paid reverence to the Masters that came before him; Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, Freddie, BB and Albert King, Big Bill Broonzy and Otis Rush. Acoustic Transitions Volume 1 is Bobby’s nod to the traditional Blues songs that he loves, and should never be forgotten, mixed with new versions of his own traditional Blues writings.

Kim Crawford (of Willie Phoenix) has new project 10AHEAD

Band set to play free Happy Hour Concert at Woodland’s Tavern Friday, August 4

Kim Crawford (Guitar and vocals, currently with Willie Phoenix and the Soul Underground, formerly with New London, The Crawfords and Screaming Urge -1995-), with bassist Myke Rock (currently Ray Fuller and the Bluesrockers, formerly Screaming Urge, Peace Time Riot, Beatles On Bass, Big Foot Nixon) and drummer Steven Day Carter (currently with Willie Phoenix and the Soul Underground, formerly Magic Red, Exit 105, New London) will perform songs off the soon to be released 14 track CD “10AHEAD - A DECADE” due out in September. Woodland’s Tavern (1200 W 3rd Ave, Columbus, 614-299-4987, http://www.woodlandstavern.com) hosts the happy hour show on Friday, August 4, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with delta blues singer/guitarist Bob Sauls opening.

Since the 10AHEAD musicians have all been in the band New London previously, Crawford will have New London’s Oblivious in Oblivion CDs for sale at the event. Originally in 2006, the album contained 10 songs, but these special CDs contain 3 bonus tracks, 2 of which were produced by Grammy award winning Bob Stander at Avalon Studios in Douglaston, Queens, New York. The third bonus track is a song recorded by Screaming Urge (1995) at Diamond Mine Studios, Columbus.
