The Pyre is the spark—the point of no return. It’s that breathless instant when you feel the heat of a fire starting, knowing it’s going to consume everything in its path. It’s standing at the edge of destruction, aware that once it begins, there’s no going back. Every choice, every step, every mistake that led you here weighs on your shoulders, but you know deep down, there’s no other way.

It’s not just a reckoning—it’s the beginning of something new. There’s a strange kind of freedom in the destruction. When the world burns down, you’re left with nothing but yourself and the ashes. And in those ashes, you can build something stronger.

This is the calm before the storm. The fire hasn’t reached you yet, but the smoke is thick in the air, and you can already feel the heat. It’s inevitable. The question is, when it’s all over, will you rise from the ashes or be consumed by them?

Earthgirl is about a woman who flees to a small town, carrying the unbearable weight of a past she can’t speak aloud. To outsiders, she seems strange—always tense, private, off-kilter. But what they’re seeing is alienation—an emotional exile she’s built around herself to survive. Underneath it all, she’s running from a relationship marked by stalking, rape, and attempted murder, and the heartbreak of secretly terminating a pregnancy to save her own life and future —on the night of a full moon.

"Una Vez En La Vida.." that´s what a good friend from Spain told me once, after more than one lost loves and bad experiences but still full of hope finding the one and only one day...I wrote my story later and presented  it to my friend H.
