After having spent our twenties in Amsterdam, most of us have now settled elsewhere and aren't raving as much as we used to. Luckily, friends of ours hosted a little rave this weekend in their recently bought farm :) after playing mostly downtempo on after-hours, I absolutely enjoyed playing a dance-able and energetic set in the middle of the night. Given this was a New Year’s Day set, Yash decided to play a selection of his favourite 90s / 00s tracks. Think ‘Guilty Pleasures’ without the guilt… Think Bangers & Trash… but only mildly trashy.  

The setting was out of this world. 1am on New Year’s Day, surrounded by sixty friends in the middle of the bush. The elephants, giraffes and zebras were all dancing too. 

The crowd was in a great mood and rather than trying to be artistic, this was Yash’s unashamed attempt to bring smiles to people’s faces. Enjoy.

Music and rhythm can be life-changing for children and young adults who have experienced trauma and are struggling with anxiety. 

Music for Generations (Nesiller için Müzik) is a compilation album series focusing on bringing hope, healing, and resilience to children and young adults who have been impacted by the recent earthquakes of February 2023. 

As Kanto Records, we have partnered with two NGOs — Maya Foundation and Tüvana Education Foundation for Children (TOÇEV) — to make a meaningful impact on those affected by the earthquakes. 

Proceeds from the album sales on Bushido will be donated to support ongoing art and music therapy efforts in the earthquake-affected area. Proceeds from the album's Bandcamp and Spotify sales will be donated to establish permanent music libraries delivering art and music therapy workshops.

We are honored to feature incredible artists worldwide who generously donated their songs' publication rights to support this cause. We welcome all volunteers to support our mission. 

Every penny of your donation will directly support our project. We will be transparent in our actions and inform you of all developments through our website and social media channels.
