Off the back of his debut Space Invaders EP last year, we're excited to welcome Onyx Recordings regular Hoax back to the label with his next EP, Crowd Control.

Featuring four tracks of pure energy ready to tear up any dancefloor, including a wobbly roller in "Nebula" and a touch of future bass in "Promise Me", we guarantee you'll be able to find a DJ weapon of choice within this EP.

Since first releasing with Onyx, Hoax has become a label favorite with our listeners, and we're stoked to be putting him b2b with fellow Onyx mainstay Invert Era at our Lightbox London event on September 24th. Come down and witness Hoax's crowd control skills in action!

With Sonic Search, we present an ambitious project, released across four volumes to highlight each track and fully develop the concept. The compilation forges bridges between artists who, at first glance, seem worlds apart, setting singular universes into dialogue until they converge into a common wave, fragile yet furious, luminous yet abyssal.
From ambient to trance, jungle to techno, the tracks reveal unexpected correspondences between light and shadow, organic and mineral, science and mysticism. Each voice finds its place in this unstable trajectory, driven by a single quest: to push listening to its limits and explore the richness of sonic languages.

Transforma drags you straight into the depths with a tense, cinematic intro built on eerie pads and ghostly vocal wisps drifting through the mix. The pressure swells as growling basslines churn beneath the surface, drums tightening and amplifying until the whole track detonates into a brutally heavy drop. Once unleashed, the tune drives forward with chugging Neurofunk energy. Gnarled bass warbles twisting through the low end while sharp, heavenly synths cut through the darkness like sparks in the void. A relentless, abyss-bound destroyer.

NonRev - Dispossessed
