Next up for Viscera 073, we welcome an improvised mix of original material from Common Factors. 

Common Factors are a recently formed duo consisting of James Welsh (Phantasy Sounds) and Alexander Church.  Combining influences, their music dives deep into playful strings, swirling synths, breaks and massive low-end frequencies, displaying their shared love for synthesisers and early 90s nostalgia. 

For their second EP on Life Scripts, the pair deliver another 4 tracker showcasing the Common Factors sound, which has received BBC6Music support from Tom Ravenscroft, Ransom Note and a raft of top DJs.

This week we handed over the controls to James and Alexander who have produced a very special and well crafted mix for the series. Kick back and play this one loud.

Instead he would now choose to lose himself in the darkness of the night, wandering between the trees, amidst their towering might and wise presence. He found himself at home in the forest, it was here in which his imagination could run wild and free without the constraints of others. A total recall into isolation and the abyss. 

Lord Of The Isles has announced the release of a stunning new collection of tracks on his own recently launched new imprint, Dusk Delay. The record features long form ambient excursions which leave the listener lost in a magical place. This track "Recall" is a favourite.

This album was written during slow hours with little intention beyond staying present. Piano leads each piece with light strings or a single woodwind appearing only when the space allows. The sound remains soft, steady, and unobtrusive.

These tracks are meant for reading, studying, writing, or quiet routines. Each piece reflects a real place or moment observed briefly and left untouched. Nothing here asks for attention. It is music meant to sit beside focus rather than interrupt it.
