Lütt Matten, little Matti, grown up in a small town near the Baltic coast, his glance always into the range of the endless horizons of the North German farmland. Free from rush and time, exposed to the elements and the sound of the universe, in thoughts traveling with the migration of the grey cranes, dancing to the choreography of the great crested grebe dance, raging like a finch in the hedge, free as the buzzard's flight in a summer thermals.

The ancient Sumerian goddess of love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, combat, justice, and political power and the personification of planet Venus. 
Imagine the power she gave to thousands of Sumerians, Mesopotamians and the infamous and brutal Assyrians, even when they tryed to conquere the western regions of far east, trying to break the walls of Jericho, even Jerusalem. 

Kokopelli 

Kokopelli is a fertility god worshiped by the natives of the American Southwest (today's USA). He's watching over the birth and reproduction as well as the agriculture. Kokopelli's flute playing drives out the winter and initiates spring. Many tribes also associate the rain with Kokopellis flute play.

Lütt Matten, el pequeño Matti, crecido en un pequeño pueblo cerca de la costa del Báltico, su mirada siempre dentro del rango de los infinitos horizontes de las tierras agrícolas del norte de Alemania. Libre de la prisa y el tiempo, expuesto a los elementos y al sonido del universo, en pensamientos que viajan con la migración de las grullas grises, bailando con la coreografía de la gran danza del zampullín con cresta, furioso como un pinzón en el seto, libre como el Vuelo de zopilote en verano.

Le projet est né du désir de faire revivre aujourd'hui les aspects particuliers de spiritualités multiples, de sérénité studieuse et créativité musicale et poétique de l'époque fleurie de la culture Andalouse du VII siècle.

On découvre trois voix féminines (Sigi Hausen pour le christianisme, Mara Aranda pour les séfarades et Iman al Kandoussi pour la tradition musulmane) qui alternent solo et choeur d'accompagnement.

Au renouveau des musiques médiévales, méditerranéennes et sépharades se mèlent les chants antiques qui dialoguent en utilisant des langues et des cultures musicales différentes dans une vision de tolérance, de beauté et de spiritualité.

Les instruments de l'ensemble se composent d'instruments traditionnels comme l'oud, kanoun ou vielle à roue.

La musique qui en ressort est atmosphérique, intense, émotionnellement et techniquement au plus haut niveau.

Al Andaluz Project is an active collaboration since 2006 between German, Spanish and Moroccan musicians from Estampie, Ham de Foc and Aman Aman.

The project was born from the desire to revive today the particular aspects of multiple spirituality, studious serenity and musical and poetic creativity of the flowering period of the Andalusian culture of the seventh century.

We discover three female voices (Sigi Hausen for Christianity, Mara Aranda for Sephardim and Iman al Kandoussi for the Muslim tradition) who alternate solo and accompanying choir.

In the revival of Medieval, Mediterranean and Sephardic music, ancient songs are mingled with dialogue, using different languages ​​and musical cultures in a vision of tolerance, beauty and spirituality.

The instruments of the ensemble consist of traditional instruments such as oud, kanoun or hurdy-gurdy.

The music that emerges is atmospheric, intense, emotionally and technically at the highest level.

On Saturday, April 25, 2015 a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, just northwest of the capital of Kathmandu. It was the worst quake to strike the region in more than 80 years.
The area was hit with a second 7.3 magnitude quake just 17 days later, on May 12, causing further damage and suffering for those who had survived the initial disaster.
Nepal, well known for its rich cultural heritage and extreme tourism, is one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia. The damage done by the quake put a strain on its citizens that will last for many years.

The earthquake
Strength: 7.8 on the Richter scale.
Epicenter: Less than 50 miles northwest of Kathmandu, the country’s capital in central Nepal.
Depth: 11 km/6.8 miles. The source of the earthquake was relatively shallow, contributing to its strength and the resulting damage.
