That Girl Next Door Look/Moonface

Who here remembers Laurie Anderson's "Strange Angels"? I thought of its lyrics when I read Raðulfr Maganhar's description for his track, "Indoors Light Infinite." He writes, "Angels exist, but unfortunately they are deadly. The emptiness it leaves overwhelms the neurons in each memory with a mixture of feelings, light, and darkness. Happiness and torment. Being lucky and tied hand and foot."

Uncertainty's heartbeat pounds through this track as it did through all of 2020. When I left a comment to tell @raoulfr his thrumming chiaroscuro had become part of my internal soundtrack that year, he generously invited me to add some vocals. Here they are—a few strange angels of my own. Some shriek. Some howl. Some are out of tune. Some sing like sirens. I'm pretty sure all of them are trouble, but at least one of them meant well.
