Zemög - Lāsya Virtual Festival @ 9128.live - Exclusive Vinyl Set

The experience took place virtually on June 11th 2021 worldwide from the radio platform 9128.live.

Zemög (Pereira, Colombia)
The sonic explorer and vinyl collector Zemög is an artist who is known to constantly push the threshold when it comes to sound design and tone manipulation. He has been an active DJ since 2012 with residency in several clubs in his hometown Pereira and has played with several well known international artists. As composer he made his official debut in 2019 on From a Lost Place label with ‘Vuoto EP’ , followed by releases on Ordinamento Selettivo, Circular Limited and the last one in the Italian label Different Exhibition where he was remixed by the first time with nothing less than Claudio PRC. His appearance can be found on other VA collaborations and remixes around the globe as well.
He is also a co-founder and visual artist of Matteria, a collective that makes electronic music events in Pereira, Colombia.

The term Lāsya, in the context of Hindu mythology, describes the dance performed by Goddess Parvati as it expresses love, care, happiness and is filled with grace and beauty. The Lāsya was the second phase of creation, in response to Shiva's Tandava dance that gave birth to the Universe. It combined to form the triad, "laya", "pralaya" & “shunya” - the cyclic motion of things from resonance to dissolution, from stillness to movement, from sound to silence, and such represents the dialectical "being-nonbeing-becoming". In a literal sense, Lāsya means softer, it is the divine feminine nature in all of us which manifests as beauty, happiness, enchanting, and grace.
We may be silenced by law, but our nature is movement. ~ We are joining together on this dance, 11 by number, for a 13h of exclusive live stream takeover on 9128.live.

"This mix is ​​made up of various melodic drone sounds. 
They are tracks that I feel really beautiful. Listening to the drone feels like my heart and mind are being cleansed. What I was most conscious of in this mix was to mix the drones in various keys so that they would naturally connect and become a big story. I sprinkled in elements that episode the feeling of nature. And I used an unreleased track of mine in the middle of the mix.

I made a slightly longer journey than usual as a special mix for Inveins podcast.

For our 99th edition, we’re honoured to host Belgian producer Owl, whose meditative mix feels like a balm for overstimulated minds. Known for his collaborations as Glÿph (with Clearlight) and OZOH, Owl has been crafting deep sonic journeys since 2013 - seamlessly blending ambient, autonomic, and deep techno into a sound that’s as introspective as it is expansive.

With releases on some of our favorite labels like Silent Season, re:st, Lowless, and Huinali, Owl is a master of subtle textures and emotions. His mix for Unrush gently guides you through beautiful soundscapes and soothing atmospheres - the perfect companion to unwind, reset, and breathe a little deeper. @segueambient is the name used by Jordan Sauer, an electronic music producer from Vancouver, BC. He creates ambient and dub-techno music with layers of field recordings, acoustic and electronic sounds, creating sonic soundscapes that conjure images of nature and emotions of peace and introspection. He has released numerous solo albums and collaborations with artists from around the world, including three LPs on the Silent Season record label. A high point of his career was the 2013 release of the dub-techno album Pacifica and the following performance at Mutek the following year, captured here in this live recording. In 2020, Jordan was commissioned by Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre to produce Gene Machines - an album based on field recordings and atmospheric sounds from one of the most advanced genetic research labs in Canada.

Presented as part of STREAM ON, a project by MUTEK, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Mysteries of the Deep is a New York-based record label, podcast, and event series — focused on ambient & experimental music in various forms. Mysteries — as fans lovingly call it — is concerned with exploration of unknown realms, and its focus, in addition to showcasing a dynamic spectrum of electronic music from foremost artists in the field, is to thoughtfully engage its audience. 

Conceptualized in 2011, Mysteries began as a podcast series that, now in its eleventh year, has hosted an array of mixes and original works. The project has since evolved, expanding into a curated global event series and record label.

Josephine’s Soundscapes is the moniker of Jose Salas, an audiovisual creator, art director, and active promoter of alternative culture in Madrid. When it comes to music, he has been an active participant in shaping Madrid’s underground electronic music scene for over 20 years. In recent years, he has founded and worked as artistic director, promoter, and DJ in club nights and platforms such as Club Paraíso Madrid, CALMA, and the independent creative cell a_mal_gam_a (Dance Cave; Avalovara, Listening Club; L’art Dance Club @ ARCO; and Festival En Pausa @ La Casa Encendida).

His work has continually evolved across a variety of cultural projects, both collective and personal. These include his seminal podcast Silly Europeans (2010–2016), his program Sonda Dispersa on Madrid’s public radio station M21, and his current projects such as Campos de Marte on Radio Relativa—a podcast dedicated to experimental music—and the curation of temple, the listening sessions at Espacio Perpendicular.
