‘Days Gone’ is the highly-anticipated return of core Afterlife act and fans favourite, Mind Against. A year after their ‘Solaris’ EP (AL002), the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini show once again why their moving, supremely-produced tracks are held in such esteem.

The title track takes you to another dimension, with a synth line spiralling into cosmic space and drums beating into oblivion. ‘Cloud Nine’, a classy, comparatively-understated cut for the early hours brings the energy back down. Stepping up to remix ‘Cloud Nine’ is Dystopian talent Alex.Do, who strips the sound back and distills the original’s graceful flourishes, completing a high-quality chapter in the Afterlife story.

MAS - the 7th EP released solely by Ten Walls will be out 24th October, 2018, presented by his label „Runemark”. 3 compositions, „Mas“, „Prolog“ and „Sazam“ are the vivid combination of diverse melodies style wise, each of them having unique personal touch.

The three tracks move from Detroit’s minimalism to Minimal Techno, with dark, trippy, but pumping raw power. MAS ends up with beautiful story with it’s unpredictable structure. Built from electro bass, tight rhythms, uplifting breakdowns, the story line is glued into singular almost tangible experience.

lthough previous Ten Walls releases such as Walking With Elephants, Gotham, Sparta or Italo were absolute dance floor killers, this time Ten Walls experiments bring his deeper, darker side. Swampy, yet pleasantly clumsy „Prolog“, shifting and tricky „Sazam“ are opened by the title track „Mas“ — created in spacey arpeggio. „Mas“ recalls the EP title, that, according Ten Walls came up accidentally — simply taking letter R from the word Mars.

„MAS is MARS without R. Simply as that, no need to overthink this. I like to make up new words, they visit my head and I release them“.
The only relation with the red planet is the artwork. Black and intense red canvas was created by Mindaugas Bonanu. Designer, whom Ten Walls already collaborated for a number releases. Bonanu expanded the concept of MAS with an illusion that reflects both - the raw nature of the EP itself and quite disrupted red planet the moment Its name was shifted.

MAS EP represents slightly different approach from this Lithuanian producer and artist. Tune in and discover down to earth experiments from space from 24th October.

For our second instalment of 2019, we switch from Switzerland to Sweden and turn our attention to the one and only, Zoo Brazil.

For his first full release for Selador he enlists two of his most trusted collaborators in the form Wolf & Moon. The singer/songwriters bring added dimension to John’s deliciously lo-slung indie flavoured groove, their repetitive alternating vocal hooks stubbornly etching their way into your subconscious. So much so, we were left with little option but to excitedly wave the white flag and give into their demands immediately.

Hailing from one of Europe's historical hot beds for electronic music, Valencia, Upercent makes his well deserved return to KX. Electronic music culture runs deep in his hometown. Barraca, with 50 years of age one of the world's longest running clubs was instrumental in developing what later on became the global phenomenon called Balearic Disco, one of the blueprints for modern clubbing as we know it. Upercent's take on house music is shaped by his unorthodox use of classical instruments and a deep understanding of groove. His new double header for Kompakt's offshoot KX once again proves Upercent's knack for highly infectious hooks and elegant story-telling. Both "Ocell" and "Explota" are fine examples of his tremendous skills in creating state of the art club music with depth and vigor.

Still on their six-legged victory lap following the massive success of the Blessed EP, Tiga & The Martinez Brothers look to the outer limits of techno and beyond for the remixes. “Blessed was a baby born of friendship, and you don’t turn your baby over to some dude making ‘dark, atmospheric bangers' on Ableton. You take that baby, you put on her bonnet and you entrust her to some of the most successful men in the world so you can take your wife salsa dancing for once,” says Tiga. 

Longtime Turbo target Ricardo Villalobos delivers his personal magic on the remix of “Cleopatra." This is not the kind of everyday magic you’d find in a kind word from a stranger or the childlike wonder of a child. This is the good kind of magic.

Louis Vuitton Creative Director/Off-White mastermind Virgil Abloh, one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, was a big fan of “Blessed,” and turns in a remix that is closer to "future jazz” than Tiga would have accepted from anyone else on that list, except for maybe Hugh Jackman. Abloh also designed the artwork for the release, which depicts the fall of man as seen through the eyes of a jean jacket. 

“I speak for everyone at Turbo when I say we are delighted and honoured to bring these two friends and creative forces into the fold,” says Tiga. “Some people well tell you that hatred and divisiveness are the answers to society’s ills, but I respectfully disagree. It’s friendship that’s gonna see us through. If I can convince two of today’s leading cultural figures to roll up their sleeves and figure out my remix pack, imagine what I could do if given control of a small country. I don’t see any other labels making these kinds of claims, and to me that says a lot.”

Celebrating fresh and creative original cuts perfect for peak time plays, 3AM embraces innovative and timeless music from artists offering sublime immersion in main room moments

Spanish DJ/Producer AARYON possesses a perfect rawness when it comes to composing edgy sound and opens the EP with ‘Unpleasant’, a satisfyingly bass-heavy, uncompromising anthem driven by pure rhythm and delicately balanced with vibrant, wavering lead lines and retrospective strings.

Next up, emerging UK producer Daniel Blackman’s ‘Tales of Persia’ delivers a tantalising nod to Middle Eastern scale. A rollicking bassline, accented by lofty, mesmeric female vocals and hypnotic melodies, commands a spellbinding breakdown which will enthral dancefloors worldwide.

Russell, RUKUS regular, is back with a no nonsense, floor filling stomper ‘The Wager’. Hi-hats well to the fore, the track pulsates with pacy, rhythmic bass and enigmatic synth lines. Sharply punctuated vocal stabs sit on top of polished musical crescendos and playfully call for the ear’s attention.

In ‘Snakes & Ladders’, dynamic producer WHYT NOYZ dives deeper into funky synth twists and subtly spirited melody. Blending minimalist plucks, snappy vocals, and flawless percussion, he closes out the EP with an upbeat energetic flourish and a definitively slick, prime time groove.
