This record is the result of quality work with synthesizers, modulars and drum machines. The music reflects the highest level of artists and the ability to work in a multi-genre format.  Each track is unique and touches on different subgenres of electronic music from IDM to Electro.

«I collected many of the sounds from the environment around me and put them into the music. That is why many of it have noisy background sounds. I love it when it is a little bit of white noise (not always but sometimes). The rest was made with my two synthesizers and my drum machine. I like to keep it simple». — says author.

«The song list can be seen as a start from something which is nature here but it could be an escape or a travel (to space or in life in general or anywhere else) as well. It starts all fine with a new morning and some sunbeams and beautiful nature but then problems start to appear more and more. And as always in life there is magic in every beginning (to quote Hesse here) but sooner or later the problems start to raise. This can be a cancelled flight. This can be the feeling of being stuck in between two worlds and not be able to set foot into even one of them. This can also be the feeling of floating in space. For many people this feeling symbolizes something great and a feel-good-mood. Instead I see this as a metaphor for something helpless, out-of-control and ending.

But hopefully after all those problems there can be something new. You have to set a foot first and the first attempts to walk will be difficult but sooner or later you can start again».

Seven unique tracks from some of our most special artists. Sölna, Atico Corp, Sound Synthesis, Not On Earth and Frank Jhonson join our family with rhythms ranging from the smoothest electro to the most "macarras" beats. Dalmata Daniel presents the sixth instalment of their DDS split series, manifesting a relentless torrent of raw, bumping beats and electric thunderbolts: Kraków-based Olivia brings her otherworldly sequences and hazy reverberations, while hailing from Tel Aviv, Rapha delivers acidic treatments and sinister, menacing tones of a dark, untold future.

Side A opens up with ’Freak’, where Olivia’s swirling synth arpeggios quickly aim to enchant all listeners, tangling up their brainwaves with several layers of wicked, throbbing beats. Continuing her witching hour, ‘Odejdź’ introduces off-kilter pulses, cries and whispers in a dungeon, where no one can find the exit. Echoes tremble and screams get distorted in the dark, moist and uncanny aisles of these non-Euclidean spaces. Hyperbolic and demonic, hypnotic and manic: ‘Odejdź’ puts ashes in our eyes and takes us to places we never thought were possible in this bleak realm of our world.

Flip the record, drop the needle and let side B commence: Rapha opens up with ‘Aggressive Disorder’, a hip hop-infused marching beat with cosmic howls and blasting basslines. Next up, as a gargantuan machinery of steam-fueled engines, ‘Bomber Jacket’ takes a confident, industrial maneuver at demonstrating nasty, scattered pieces of percussive grit, simmering its way to a textured and refined amalgam of rough and frantic pulsations. Closing the split release, ‘Access Point’ elevates the voyage to outer space: fresh and squelchy electro patterns kick in right away with sweet, rumbling lower frequencies, and while you may enjoy the interstellar ride with stardust in your eyes, don’t forget to watch out for potential alien screams and growls behind you in the cabin; they should come as no surprise if DDS06 is the OST to your personal, gruesome, galactic adventure.

DDS06: Olivia/ Rapha [SNIPPETS]

As announced by Fill-Lex Records, the Valencian label had planned to close at the end of the year, or the beginning of 2022, the series of Zar del Olimpo releases by Rise Black, a producer who divides his nationality between Russia and Greece, although he currently resides in Seville and is already one more in the Spanish electro scene, with several proposals such as Electronic Wave, which is regularly held in the Prisma room in Seville.

Maxim Gkikaev was planning to release a second volume of this cycle, thus bringing to an end this work composed of tracks created in the pre-pandemic era, between 2016 and 2019. This second part of Zar del Olimpo follows in the same wake as its predecessor album, a musical line oriented towards a primordial base derived from electro, however, various influences from other genres can be appreciated. 

On this occasion, the artist reduces the number of tracks, leaving the album with 7 tracks, as opposed to the 11 of the first volume. Zar del Olimpo Vol.2 starts with Artificial Dance, a track in which he shows great skill in combining structures and textures that we can perfectly place in styles such as electro, acid or industrial, as the physiognomy of its punch is forceful, its rhythm is syncopated and its scarce melody is hypnotic. END coincides very little with the previous cut, quite the contrary, since although it is rhythmically commanded by a break, the musicality is a very important element that is not always shown, since the arpeggio only appears on two occasions, as well as inverting the forcefulness of the punch with metallic percussive elements. Wolfs Forest closes side A with a great dose of originality, as Rise Black dedicates this track to this animal, with howls included and with an electronic sound background, electro in its purest state to vindicate the figure of the wolf.

Veneno (Version 2) opens side B with a lower level of dynamism than the previous tracks. On this occasion, it once again shows its electronic character and a slow cadence. Ugly But Cute is a cut with a bright sound and lacking in low frequencies, in which a neat rhythmic base is once again joined by two arpeggiated lines. Luz del Cielo is a track in which the impact of various styles can be appreciated and in which care is taken to ensure that its sonic nature is metallic and electronic. The album closes with Sad Goodbye, a new electro cut very appropriate to say goodbye to this series of releases.
