Bio:
The Visionites are a UK reggae soundsystem and production duo. Formed in 2010 from the meeting of Ada Visions, formerly Black Star Sound, (who runs the studio) and Ras Zeb of Visions 2000 (who runs the soundsystem). Ras Zeb had been involved in and running sound since the early 80s across London, Hitchin and Luton and brings decades of live sound experience along with the mountains of equipment he has gathered and built over the years. Ada is part of the younger 'computer' generation and is a wizard in digital audio and technology who fell in love with reggae at an early age. When they met Ada was starting to build reggae rhythms on the computer, something that Ras Zeb had been interested in and dabbled with in the early 90's. He was impressed with how far the technology had come since then, and together they decided to build a small production studio in Cambridge, this was the original Visions DubLab where many of the first raw tracks were recorded, with much of the material remaining unreleased, only having been played live on the soundsystem. In early 2020 the studio moved and has been upgraded to professional standard, they have spent the past couple of years working on new music with a host of acclaimed vocalists, set to begin releasing music again in the final months of 2022!

Their sound is strongly influenced by militant UK soundsytem and the early Jamaican pioneers such as Jah Shaka, Iration Steppers, Aba Shanti, Jack Ruby, King Tubby’s, Coxson Dodd, Black Scorpio, Prince Jammy’s, King Earthquake, King Alpha, Kilimanjaro, etc...
