I (Julien) will always remember the first time I heard "Stigma". It was at Electromind in 2008 and it was like taking a train at full speed in my face.
So having the opportunity to remix this classic tune 14 years later is like "une madeleine de Proust” for me. We didn't want to go on just an update of the track as it's already perfect, but more like rewriting everything to give heady and esoteric sensations.

(Nicolas) " Stigma " still has been one of my favorite songs . 
The first time I heard this track I couldn't believe it, I thought perfection had been reached. 
So having the opportunity to remix this monster is almost unreal for me. 
We really wanted to reappropriate the song and we hope you will like our vision. 

Quite a journey in a shamanic world, thanks to Noisia for letting us do it!

Since I was a kid, including today I find myself getting lost in the world of @Noisia discography, at the same time I feel so connected to that world. Noisia has been and always will be the bar for musicality and production for me, in a way their music taught me and pushed me more to be better and understand this world of sound. Hearing Outer Edges was a huge moment for me, every record there was absolutely groundbreaking and next level when it came to every concept of music production. starting from simple hihats to the most complex bass design and compositions, everything was inspirational and is even today. Mantra is a special record for me, its one of those records that make you see the world and more behind just the audio, so I just had to simply bring that out into my remix. I felt like the remix had to be just like a sentence or little saga, a story. Adding new chords and Maasai tribe vocals was a final touch and I feel like that really made this remix for me. Even tho these additional elements weren't part of the original, I'm really happy that Noisia and the team behind Vision  gave me full freedom. Reimagining Mantra was simply one of the most special experiences and milestones in my musical journey and i feel so honored and grateful to be given this opportunity.

With the year drawing towards a frosty close, we are absolutely thrilled to be able to close it out with a bang as we jump into one last compilation for closure. Over the many years of our activities here at 3000 Bass, pushing the freshest new talent in bass music has always been our top priority, with this latest collection being a fabulous showcase of that very theme.

With 25 tracks of pure heavyweight Bassline flavour, one track dropping daily in the run up to Christmas (our very own UK Bass advent calendar). The project itself holds a seriously wide range of styles, from the pure whomping weight of the euphoric ‘Breakaway’ from Blanks, to the wibbly wobbly LFO stomps of Gobbs’ ‘Motion’ and more gritty undertones of Hemlok’s ‘Move For Me’.

There is no doubt that the genre boundaries for bass music are steadily widening and this latest collection, for us, is our way of showcasing it from top to bottom, with the best artists of tomorrow, ready and waiting to let loose their most up to date weaponry.
