Bloom Festival 2023 was amazing! With a one stage festival, I had my concerns that DJs would be hit or miss, but 3 nights it was a masterclass of impeccable flow - from song to song and Dj to Dj.

With the longest and darkest nights of the year upon us, what better way to bring the light than with a PsyLush gathering!! The Winter Solstice edition of Psychedelic Sunday was an absolute blast!! A stellar community, an incredible lineup of groovy talent, and held within the beautiful Alternity cafe right at Bloor and St. George in Toronto! 

While I had originally planned to spin a dark bass set, there was just so much enthusiasm for some of that Dreamstate-styled psytrance that ... well, all this happened! 

I think we've all felt that the dimmed moods of this season have hit a bit different this year -- so I cannot emphasize just how thoroughly spirit-refreshing this was. Not just the set -- but the gathering as a whole!

This massive versus set was recorded live at Texas Eclipse Festival 2024 on the Sun Stage during the AlpaKa MuziK takeover on Saturday afternoon, at one of the biggest psychedelic festivals in the world. This set was performed by KOZY (Canada), MYDÄ (Canada) and Crescendoll (USA). This B3B features some of the freshest psychedelic techno tracks mixed with a few favorite older dancefloor heaters. KOZY aka Jeff Koz is the owner and founder of the psychedelic techno label AlpaKa Muzik based out of Montreal, Canada. MYDÄ is a progressive and psychedelic techno duo based out of Toronto, Canada. Amir & Mitch are always finding ways to keep their sound fresh and not limited to any boundaries. The result is a unique brand of glitch-laden groove-heavy progressive techno, with just enough psychedelic attitude to win over any dancefloor. CRESCENDOLL is the dark psychedelic techno project of Erin Parisi, the owner and founder of Shadow Wulf Records. Paul Ciuk (a.k.a. Dauri Cems),  was born in Mexico City and has been living in Canada for the past 10 years.  On the decks since 2005, his minimalistic-montage-jazz, Nietzschean vibes see him always re-inventing/re-evaluating the musical values he holds dear. 

Throughout the years, he has thrown parties with different collectives like: Love For Life Collective, Tekne and Rhizoma.  From clubs to run-down buildings, and festivals, Dauri Cems has been featured all over Mexico and Canada.

Mitch has been sharing his love for music behind the decks since 2008, blending deep selections with a steady hand and ear for flow. A longtime contributor to the East Coast Canadian psytrance and psytech scene, his sets are all about smooth transitions, thoughtful progression, and just the right dose of psychedelia.

As Mythrophan, he explores a versatile range of intelligent psytrance - from bushy zenon-esque progressive to emotive, driving twilight. Under his Mythro alias, he dives into the hypnotic world of psytech and minimal techno. You can also catch him crafting original sounds as (former) one-half of the prog-tech duo MYDÄ. Based in Toronto, Mitch is the co-founder of Space GOAt and a former Architextures resident, continuing to help shape and elevate the local scene with his passion for deep sounds and dancefloor connection.

He has played at several outdoor festivals across Eastern Canada and US, such as Eclipse Festival 2012/14/16/18/22 (QC), Fractalfest 2016 (NY), Harvest Festival 2013 (ON), OpenMind Festival 2011/13 (QC), Timeless Festival 2016/17/19 (QC), and Solstice Festival 2012/13/14/16/17 (ON).
