this whole sweet world wide
and if i could write about it
so i said i’d try

peace is as much a question as it is a word
5 lonely letters in a turbulent world
i don’t profess to know it well
i’ve only caught the odd glimpse
when i break out of the illusion
settle deep-
deep within
through the dark and quiet
into the blindingly bright
lies the simplest answer
the absence of fright
it’s the space between breaths
the humble good bye
the endless answer
to the incessant ‘why’s?’
it’s in the eyes of the well fed infants
it’s in the melody of songs
it’s in the roots of every season
it’s in the wagging tales of dogs
it’s in the deepest wishes of the masses
regardless of how they pray
it’s in the cool rains of forgiveness
falling into thirsty rivers once again
making it impossible to distinguish
the saving from the saved
yes, peace is possible
if you look at it this way
i read the words of a woman much braver than me
they left me haunted
so simple- yet tricky
she said :
  one must destroy in themselves 
all that they feel should be destroyed in others
 
but there are so many idiots , oppressors
thieves and liars…
i felt the waves of righteous anger tighten around my throat like a collar
like a collar
 that very quality
 that triggered contempt
that’s what she meant
that’s what she meant
as long as there is anger behind the push to right

New Nobility is an Australian rock band using their growing fame to spread messages of peace and unity. sure its long, love the intro this guy has a Great voice, as well some great big fat piano and nice chordal work and voicings, love that thick synth rolling around, big bass emanating . tasty guitar work and then it builds into a massive ballad. its a slow burn folks as the song moves through the storyline. nicely placed instrumentation. love to all

This is an original from 2003 that made it on to a few different compilations.  I never liked the original mastering so I just had it re-matered.  Sounding pretty nice now.  Enjoy!

Hot on the heels of his remix of 'Spaceman' for multi-million selling and multi-award winning band The Killers, comes another mind-blowing interpretation of electronic legends, Depeche Mode's next single 'Peace'.

Taken from their acclaimed album Sounds Of The Universe, written by Martin Gore and produced by Ben Hillier, Peace is one of the standout tracks from the brand new record and the follow-up to first single, Wrong. Peace was written back-to-back with Little Soul from the album and their spiritual element forms a cornerstone to SOTU. SOWIESO - ein Spontanprojekt der Zürcher Sängerin Nelly Gyimesi (Tischbombe,The Liselottes, Velvet Cats) & des Walliser Bassisten und Songschreibers Marco Mazotti (Halunke,Grosi,Jesse Ritch,Stefanie Heinzmann). 

Aus einer winterlichen Spontanidee heraus produzieren Marco und Nelly im Frühjahr 2013 der Sommer-Track iii-si. "Es gibt Momente im Leben eines Musikers, da hat man einfach Lust, mit anderen Gleichgesinnten kreativ zu sein. Also haben wir einfach gemacht und iii-si ist schlussendlich das Resultat davon."
