Jory Bice, better known as dj elixir, has been tearing the roofs off of large indoor venues and lighting up the night at major festivals around the Great White North for well over a decade.

elixir’s earliest forays into the world of DJing saw him rocking dance floors at major events for many of Toronto’s most legendary promoters as far back as 1997. He quickly became a crowd favourite, noted for his tight mixing, diverse track selection and seamless genre-bending abilities and earned himself residencies with major production companies such as Hullabaloo and Destiny Productions, including main stage slots at numerous WEMFs (the world-renowned World Electronic Music Festival).

Having also played major festivals like Montreal’s Eclipse, not to mention touring rigorously around Canada and the United States over the years, elixir’s travels have seen him share the stage with the likes of Paul Oakenfold, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Binary Finary, Chris Liberator, M-Zone and countless other world-class acts.

elixir has a reputation for being able to create diverse sets that flow seamlessly through whichever genre he chooses to infuse his high-energy sets with. His blend of bass-heavy tear-out breaks, filthy electro synths, throbbing trance and techno bass lines and even the odd drum’n'bass throwback from time to time has ensured his local prominence for the past 13 years and judging by the prestigious venues he continues to play at to this day including Toronto’s Sound Academy (formerly The Docks) among others, he’ll be rocking crowds for many years to come.

@maxedoutcrew -  “ City Props was an idea I came up with in the summer of 2022,  displaying to the crowd where each producer is from during my set and paying homage to the city where the music was produced, remixed or edited.  There are so many places all over the world pumping out different genres of music and they all have their own piece of flavour attached to them.  I feel it helps people connect with the music if you know where it’s from and offers a new experience during the set“

Cmax Music AKA City Props is a second generation DJ.  His father was among the first djs to start the movement and offer to play records at clubs in the early 70's out in New Brunswick Canada.  Cmax has been an avid music festival attendee here in BC for years now,  having hit his first Shambhala in 2004 and watching Basscoast grow to be one of the most desirable festivals in Canada. The summer of 2021 brought on the opportunity to put a set together for Under the stars festival and it ended up being his first time playing solo live. Andy's early musical influences range between punk, funk, soul and disco. Before DJing he was a drummer but the band broke up. He started DJing in the late 90s and over the years Andy has had several long-running club residencies and DJ'd alongside legends as Claude Von Stroke, Damian Lazarus, Jesse Rose, Green Velvet, Nora En Pure, Swayzak, Pezzner, The Lawnchair Generals, Justin Martin, and DJ T. He currently has over 50 releases out on various labels in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and the UK. His music has been supported by Justin Martin, Mark Farina, Walker & Royce, Sam Divine, The Inland Knights, Carlo Gambino and more. He has DJ'd at several BC music festivals including The Squamish Valley Music Festival, Shambhala, Basscoast, Festivus and Soundwave. Currently living in Squamish BC, Andy enjoys a balanced life between music, skis and bikes.
