Somatic Ecstatic Dance, San Francisco ∆ Fall Equinox

Here is another Ecstatic Set I have been playing during this weird endless lockdown here in Koh Phangan.
That means we were in a private villa with limited amount of selected friends and trying to stay on a low profile.
I started to play keeping the volume low but the energy of the dancers took me away and got lost in the "zone" a space where time disappears and everything flows on it own accord perfectly, the energy raised to a peak, everybody started to let go, release and scream and of course short after .... neighbors showed up complaining!! 
Luckily I was already on my way to slow down so it did not really affected the journey itself!!
Thanks a lot to all those who were there celebrating life, Marco for offering his villa, Dani for playing congas, Olivia with her singing bowls and of course all the artists present in this set!!

It has been over a decade since the global electronica scene sampled its first Desert Dwellers remix. Synthesized from a menagerie of old-world acoustics infused with the pulsating beat of the electronic underground, it was these early re-visions of Desert Dwellers' genre-melding music that would come to serve as a foundation for the duo's evolving relationship with the alchemical art of remixing, as exhibited by over 100 remixes of their style-defining tracks since the project first took shape in the late 1990s.

'Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2' carries on in this evolving tradition as producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe hand the building blocks of their 2019 album, 'Breath,' over to eleven musical adepts from the realms of downtempo house and electronica for a scintillating new installment to their global music tale. Spiced with the ambrosial flavors of world beat and folkloric house, 'Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2' brings a dreamy and evocative edge to Breath's ethereal landscapes, blending in heavier percussion and deep, technical grooves to craft a dance floor elixir that guides us further into the essence of Desert Dwellers' shapeshifting musical visions.

Marked by inclusions from a worldwide array of producers that includes Coss & Iorie, Luca Bacchetti, Unders, Rapossa, Nhii, Derun, Alvaro Suarez, and Roderic, as well as American producers The Invisible People (aka An-Ten-Nae), Bosa, and Forever & Ever, 'Breath Re-Imagined Vol. 2' is a bridge between the old world and the new and a testament to the ever-changing nature of all creations as they bend to the wheels of time and influence in an accelerating world.

Enigmatically Ecstatic (live Ecstatic dance set)

Rahel is a DJ, creative educator and event manager. Her musical style and taste is eclectically evolving, tailored to the moment covering many genres of house music - her true love. Rahel plays to the moment and from the heart and her sets incorporate deep, tribal, funky, progressive, Latin, bass, world, tech and organic. 

She is known for ample dollops of driving bass lines amidst eclectic vocal samples and atmospheric builds ~ inspired by the way language touches and moves us. 

In 2023, Rahel co-birthed a new high vibration event, Mystic Valley, with her production partner Corqi. They ran their first multi day festival with Sacred Hearts at NYE 2023/4 and have ran multiple sell-out events. 

In 2024, they moved into the space of Regenerative Culture Campouts and this included a micro burn for the soul, Pre Genesis, run at a beautiful private property late 2024. A passionate community builder and lover of all things creative, Mystic Valley is planning more creative collaborations in the regenerative culture space for 2025. 

Rahel plays regularly around the Tweed and Byron Bay shire at boutique events and festivals, including Mystic Valley, Balcony Beats, Nudge Nudge, Sacred Hearts and they collab with Lab Leaked Beats in a separate project called Wild Rumpus. 

She has been fortunate enough grace stages at Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Love Camp, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink and Clitoverse and opened as a support act for Mood Swing and Chevy Bass and Uone.
