2021 was tough in many respects, but what a year it was for music! I'm personally loving this style of positive yet edgy, melodic yet hard DNB with a hint of jungle. It's hard to put a name on the exact genre...you CAN'T DEFINE IT. Enjoy!

Can't Define It (2021)

Spinning, throwing jams and running borders since 2000, Mz. Revolution brings the wikkidest sound to the massive. Always keeping her selection fresh, her crates span the bass music spectrum from jungle, dnb, footwork and uk funky to the freshest grime-jungle.

Starting DJing and promoting in Ottawa in the early 2000s, Mz Rev held down Ottawa's Chicks with Decks and was the main organizer of Ottawa's original graffiti art parties, Beatz and Piecez. Beyond rave and club gigs, she played graffiti jams, rock climbing competitions, protests, rooftop parties and was resident DJ for Carleton University's vegan soup kitchen, the Garden Spot/the G spot;)

Knowing music could take her further afield, in the mid 2000s she toured across Canada, reaching from Whitehorse to Vancouver to Halifax. She played Shambhala in 2002, 2003 and 2005. From 2004 to 2009 she represented the fresh sounds of new school Canadian ragga jungle in Europe, dropping tunes in the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. Highlights included headlining for Let It Roll in Prague, playing in Amsterdam on the 60th anniversary of the Canadian liberation of the Netherlands and playing bass so loud it shook dust from the rafters of factory where the Sputnik (the first satellite) was built in Tallinn, Estonia.


From 2008 - 2012 she promoted Konkrete Jungle 613, and kept the jungle fires blazing in Canada's capital bringing in Canadian and international talent for monthly shows. 

Jungle luminaries she has played alongside include Aries, Nicky Blackmarket, Liondub, Marcus Visionary, Rene Levice, Krinjah, Ladylite and many more. 

In recent years, Mz. Rev has focused on her job as an energy researcher and raising two little junglists who say "play the bass and drum mama!" Very thankful to be living in a time with such incredible music at her fingertips, Mz. Rev keeps up on the latest jungle dnb releases, does the occasional Twitch stream and posts mixes to her Soundcloud. She may be available for select domestic and international bookings. She is a member of DNB Girls, represented by CG Agency.
