An increasingly potent driving force in today’s techno environment, Georgia has through its key clubs Bassiani, Khidi and Mtkvarze, helped Tbilisi and its surroundings shape into of the most intriguing and reliable hotspots for emerging DJs and producers. One of its most talented heralds and a surefire groove rider at that, Yanamaste graces us with a choice two hours of the entrancingly deep and bumpy 4x4 epics he’s been laying down for INNSIGNN, Lyree and Khidi in recent times. Paced-up and animal to the core, his vision sweeps an extra wide range of shades and reliefs, nimbly moving the cursor from classic Berlin-inspired blends to full-fledged magmatic trance, via Birmingham-style projections and a solid dose of folk-infused harmonics. Raw yet technical, organic with a hint of hypermodern hoodoo to it, Yanamaste’s sound is the definition of hardware techno with soul, cut to ram-raid and elevate in equal measure.

This next one’s a very special B2B set from two of techno’s freshest talents. German/Dutch pairing Phil Berg and Lobster have emerged from their respective habitats masters of their art. From raves in both their homelands to releases on SK-eleven, HAYES, Room Trax and positivesource, as well as a shared residency for Vault Sessions that’s brought them here for Bassiani Podcast 210, the duo posit a deep and driving compound of high-voltage rhythms in their day-to-day praxis. Slamming techno that has claimed a rightful space among the greatest names of their generation. Layer by layer, an instinctive formulation of heaving basslines and delicate hi-hats balanced with utmost precision. It’s a seamless communion of complementary worldviews in respect to sound, a rich tapestry of ever morphing loops. It’s focus on gradual build, a slowly evolving chimera in lieu of schmaltzy instant gratification. This latest edition clocks in at three hours, a redacted version of their 12 hour set for the Vault Sessions night at Bassiani back in early February. Immersive and rolling, monolith techno that’s sure to set a higher bar for those who follow.

Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Clergy. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering.

João describes himself as a nerd for audio processing, composing techniques and solving puzzles in the pursuit of the perfect mix. His background in Jazz, a Degree in Sound and a Master Degree in Music and Technology gave him the tools for the unorthodox experiments he takes in the studio. It is fair to say that Temudo is one the Portuguese Techno main characters.

Known for blending the soul of Techno with a modern, unorthodox approach, Temudo's music is characterised by gritty, futuristic sounds, with a signature motif resembling a rusty crank pounding into a brick wall. In 2023, Temudo embarked on a new journey into live performance, delivering spontaneous sets that challenge traditional expectations. Each live set is a unique, improvised act where he pushes the boundaries of Ableton to its sonic limits. 

"The main idea is that the music of that recording didn’t exist before the performance itself. It was all created on the flow, one idea after the other, through the control of sequencers, Lfos, arpeggiators and other complex midi processing, as well as virtual synthesizers and sound processors. I would have an idea playing for the audience, and would prepare the next one (by pre listening on the headphones) and would eventually blend both."

Beat Runner, a new label founded in 2025, originated from a lifelong interest, seeks to discover and advance deep, creative techno tracks for both fans and DJs that are committed to the genre. Techno-head, producer, and DJ Yankee Charlie is in charge of the project.

When he heard the daring sounds of the Spiral Tribe, Okupé, Desert Storm, Metek, and numerous other innovative European sound systems in the mid-1990s, the Frenchman fell in love with the joyful free-raving days. 'Sea Wall' is his new EP, and he has already published a track on Algumritmo, demonstrating his revitalised energy of creation after ten years of health problems and personal lessons learnt.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "The Bird Maker" with a soulful and timeless sound. The deep and morphing pads combine with skipping claps and a swirling synth break as it oozes class, quality, and old-school grooves ready for enlightening any dance floor.
