A deep bass adventure, Saturday night at the Hidden Reef Bass stage amidst the epic Shipwrecked Festival, Aotearoa NZ. Revving up from some 120 - 130bpm leftfield bass, breaks n garage, into deep dubstep, a sprinkle of 150bpm rave, a serving of jungle, and finally some drum and bass. 

9.30 - 11pm, Sat 11 Feb 2023 before Dylan C, Truth and Paige Julia. And as Cyclone Gabrielle started to make her presence known onsite...It was a wild night!

Massive props to Logan and Lary for running such an awesome festival, to Dylan for your trust in me, and to Logan, Brad and Jonathan for the video and audio footage.

From the depths of the ocean, Cuttle came correct with this lush two part mixtape. Seth laid down the A-side with some alluring, peaceful and resonant dubs to meditate to. Jack took the baton onto the B-side with a collection of dank, heavy hitters with amen break samples.
Seth and Jack are great friends of ours and its our absolute pleasure to have them share some of the tunes they've been digging lately. Alongside having a heavy repertoire of tunes, Seth and Jack are also the co-organisers of Nice2Care Events and they have hosted a few banging parties in the bush.  Much love and thank you so much for curating this mixtape.

For some time now Seth and I have been collecting records and we made an arrangement so we don’t double up on the same plates we’d purchase different genres. Seth has been stashing away our favourite Dub and I have been accumulating Jungle and Drums. So, to keep with this tradition we recorded an A and B side mix tape, hope whoever listens in enjoys! Thanks again Madi and Tobs for having us on your series x

One of my favourite sets to date. Huge system, wild production and a bunch of absolute legends in the crowd. Not much more I could ask for!

I put together this mix at the start of 2023 - featuring 3 hours of bass weight experimentation from all across the spectrum.. from dark and heavy 170 to glitchy west coast beats, some dubstep, some jungle and everything I could fit in between. Heavily influenced by weekends out in the bush, psychnoaut adventures and deep space contemplation. I made this in Ableton Live and took as much advantage as I could of tempo automation and  layered FX sends... Was a lot of fun to put together. Use it wisely ❤️⚡🧠

N3BULA is a familiar name within the electronic music scene in Mulubinba (Newcastle) playing her signature sounds at events such as Club 77, Church of Techno, Dragon Dreaming, Dekonstructed, Palace, Newy Bass Crew & Daydreaming. Natalie’s versatility has allowed her to play alongside both Australian and international talent including Djrum, DJ Spit, Reptant, Goth-Trad, Ayebatonye and Andy Garvey. She has an impressive catalogue of guest mixes on radio stations such as Area 3000, Nomad Radio, Bondi Beach Radio, Orbital Radio, 4ZZZ and NZ’s Mouthfull Radio. Over the last few months, she’s been hosting monthly events through Lowfreq, her new passion project, which focuses on dubstep and bass-oriented sounds. Expect a curation of heavy basslines, entrancing drum patterns and spaced-out atmospherics, touching on the sounds of breaks, garage, techno, drum & bass and dubstep.
