IDM track with a focus on bit crush distortion and airy elements emerging from it.  This track is moody and meant to push out waves of melancholy while carrying just enough groove to guide the listener.  When the parts started coming together, the bit crushed elements sounded so desolate that I couldn't resist finding some soulful sounds to create a heavy mood.  Honestly, I felt like I could have taken this one a lot further - so maybe in the future I'll turn this into a proper full length track.

Theme of Nexeleus

Lore log #5

Metastasis, the ancient god who had once birthed the star of Nexel, had long since passed, but in his death, the waters had taken form. Nexeleus created from the remnants was the guardian of this aqueous solar system.

The worlds Nexeleus governed were alive with the pulse of the seas. Oceans were full with creatures of every kind, from the smallest forms of life to colossal leviathans that roamed the surface of several ocean worlds.

But one day, everything began to erode, with mutated lifeforms being birthed by an ancient corruption. The Niva Quatar Zone has reappeared trillions of years after the death of Metastasis. It was not a force of destruction, it was a force of erosion. It drained everything it touched. Stars, planets, and life, stripping them of all their essence. Nexeleus tried to fight back but the event happened so quickly that there was no one else to save other than themselves.

The terror of this decay spread quickly. One by one, planets began to wither. Their own oceans, vast and endless, started to lose their warmth, turning corrupted. The creatures of the seas perished. finally, planets began collapsing, causing them to appear deformed and absolutely decayed.

As Nexeleus fled, the waters of his home turned to dust. The stars dimmed as a dark purple hue surrounded the territory. The planets, beautiful worlds, now fell silent. There was no more life, no more sound, just the eerie quiet of an ocean lost to the Burning Vision's control...

Forever isolated, Nexeleus fled to an ocean world far from their once-paradise world to rest eternally to stray away from the stress of loosing everything. A broken soul, lost at the bottom of the sea...
