Wil Bolton's 'Maemi' takes its title from the Korean word for cicadas. Recorded live at Cafe OTO, London during the Home Normal label's Homenormalism festival on 3 August 2013, Wil weaves effected guitar drones, synthesizer, music box, effects pedals and environmental sounds creating a slow moving dronescape. The environmental sounds - timber mill machinery, traffic, and the buzz of cicadas - were recorded in Incheon, South Korea in August 2012, during an artist residency at the Incheon Art Platform.

ABOUT JOHN BELTRAN: Composer of Childhood Memories, John was born in Lansing, Michigan and has been producing ambient electronic music since the early 90's. He first built his street cred with his techno dance single "Aquatic" for Carl Craig's label Retroactive in Detroit. In the mid-90's he would move on to record two seminal records in the ambient techno scene: “Earth and Nightfall” and “Ten Days of Blue.” https://johnbeltranmusic.bandcamp.com/

Troekurovo recordings is a series of live jams taking place deep in russian woods once a year. No preperation, pre-programming or DAW's used. Hardware, friends and live improvisation only. Session 2018 involves live modular synth jam heavily.

This album was conceived in Moscow during the Spring of 2018, when Dmitry Vasilyev organized the concert of Enrico Coniglio and Giulio Aldinucci at дом - Dom Cultural Centre. The album reflects the feelings of some very intensive days made of exchanges of ideas with a multitude of people involved in music (including Dmitry Taldykin of Dronarivm) and moments spent in isolated places out of the metropolis, like a forest not far from an army shooting range.

In this album, the two musicians wave together memories of an immutable past and questions about the present, giving birth to a sort of a requiem overflowing with lyricism. This music enlighten the dawn of a future that now appears more uncertain than ever, with frozen intensity and dramatic strength. As a message entrusted to the stars, it leaves as wondering if we can still change the course of events.
