Premiere: Oldyungmayn & Estoc - Strike [M.A036]

Chapultepec (“grasshopper hill” in Nahuatl) has been a vital part of Mexico City for almost 600 years. A hydraulic marvel designed by the texcocan Tlatoani Nezahualcóyotl to work as a lung in one of the biggest cities on the planet. 

Throughout 19 tracks Lao explores the imaginative and timeless possibilities of Chapultepec in the form of deep melodies, organic textures, and tribal percussive patterns influenced by Jungle and Rave. The album is a homage to CDMX, the Mexican electronic music scene, and its dancefloor for the last 15 years.

In Norse mythology, the Yggdrasil tree connected the many realms of the universe, linking gods, giants, and mortals. Here, Undrwght connects his many musical influences to draw in listeners whatever their natural or supernatural status.
