Born in the US, Avernian grew up in a household that was a melting pot of cultures. With his mother being German and his step-dad being Peruvian, he was exposed to many different kinds of music from a young age. Cumbia, Afro-Peruvian and even Guaracha were constants in his life.

Fast forwarding to his late teens, Avernian moved to Germany to study and get in touch with his German heritage. By doing this, he discovered his love for electronic music and delved into producing. Over the years, he found that the UK sound resonated with him in ways that reminded him of his childhood and so he decided to move to the UK and immerse himself.

Avernian’s music pays homage to all of these influences that have played a part in his journey. Elements from these influences can be heard clearly in his output. A sound that cannot be pigeon holed or defined by a singular genre.

Now living in Manchester, he runs his own label and party series by the name of Lurch, regularly inviting down friends and artists he feels a personal connection with in their music.
On this debut album, Avernian wanted to showcase every different influence in his music; from Cumbia, Dancehall, UK Funky, Techno, UK Techno, Shaabi.

It’s an accumulation of 2 years work also features samples from family recordings & videos to show the connection between Avernian’s music and childhood.

ZSC004 is a sonic mosaic highlighting the work of 20 artists with diverse backgrounds. Each contributor gives a proper showcase of their unique style.

The Bogotá based imprint drops its third release and launches the Split Trax
series, a concept built around the essence of collaboration. The debut of Split Trax
brings together four unique artists, each expanding the horizons of the hybrid club
sound, giving deconstructed-tribal-rhythmically immersive vibes.
DLBCN was brought by Ukrainian The Lazy Jesus to the table, setting the stage with
a track that feels like a punch to the face—a raw blend of heavy bass, tribal
rhythms, and stripped-down beats. This primal energy serves as the perfect
playground for the remixes to follow, making each layer hit harder than the last.
Kicking things off, Ene Ese (Ecuador) drops a remix that fuses deep, bass-driven
lines with intricate percussive layers, building from an intense, headbanging
pulse into a restless, hypnotic rhythm that hooks you hard.
Next up, DJ Latinchat (Peruvian/Berlin-based) takes the track into darker Latin
club territory, blending Afro-Latino punch with a mesmeric, bass-heavy flow. It's
a rhythmic trip that layers Latin American beats into a psychedelic, almost
trance-like tapestry.
Lastly, Tufi (Argentinian/Berlin-based) dials in a dark, ambient-heavy remix,
layering deep, textured bass with shadowy atmospherics. The track brings an
immersive, weighty cadence marked by raw, moody intensity and sound design
that’s as mysterious as it is captivating.
Split Trax sets the tone for a series that will continue evolving, showcasing one
track reimagined through multiple visions and styles.
