After a successful mashup track "K.E.V.P.L.I. (SHI33Y)" by a Japanese producer, we decided to premiere his new edit. It is from píccolo's first upcoming "DJ TOOLZ (Vol 1)" project.

"This song was inspired by the song "KaTT - SUPERMILKCHAN”. I thought it would be fun to turn it into baile funk," píccolo told us. The Tokyo-based DJ and club experimentator is back with his new fresh club hybrid.

"I love club tracks and the thought of having people dance to my music excites me! I was into baile funk when I was writing this song, and the artists I was listening to/inspired by at the time were Klap, Mu450, and Adame DJ. They had a significant influence on me."

₪ "Spiral Club Cuts is an EP made with the club in mind, but without formulas. These are tools I use in my sets, some created alongside Mexican producers, with rhythms of my world side. Maybe it sounds like some kind of bass music, pop, and mixed with sadness. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really know how to make club music — I just try to create something I’d be excited to play on a big sound system. It's a feeling," tells us Mensik.

₪ As well as with other Mensik's projects, you can hear this sentimental feeling you have after the party, after the festival. It's something cold, but also very dreamy. And living in Mexico City, and also touring and DJing across the world, Mensik is putting all his experiences into the music.

On his gendre-bending albums, Julek blends baroque aesthetics, metal, hyperpop, spoken word, piano or hard dance. As on this guest mix exclusively created for Swine Daily, we can hear Julek's surreal, eerie, and theatrical experiences.

From citing parts from the various movies, to Bred Mehldau's piano interpretation of Elliott Smith, to Japanese game soundtracks, Leonard Cohen, an interview with Jeff Bezos, or a baile funk remix of Justin Bieber. Nobody does it like Julek. Every time I hear Julek's music, I feel like I'm watching a theatre play. Juul J. J. Verschraegen, known as épong is an artist and producer from Brussels. Ever since he was a kid, he has been using the world around him as an instrument. Fascinated by everything from crayfish making little tripping sounds in the water to broken ukuleles and the bubbling of mud to the delicate mechanical pieces of an old, forgotten clock. His music reflects his keen ears. As such, he employs a broad range of stylistic elements from all genres between industrial, experimental club music, metal, and avant-garde electronics.

Swine: You have published various singles and projects on SoundCloud and Bandcamp. I like how you work with atmospheres and feelings, more than regular song structures. This might be your most club-ready project, would you think?

épong: "That is true, and it’s probably also the outcome of absorbing the sounds that I listen to in Brussels. This album is a strong, concentrated output mirroring a period with a lot of extremes. I can’t listen to this album with a clear head since it has strong connotations for me. I consider making music as a form of therapy."

Fresh off the heels of his high-octane “JUST LIKE THAT” released on angels, HEDO HYDR8 returns with a no-holds-barred five-track statement: WERKSHOP, out 24th September via Mexican imprint, Terminal.

From the first drop, WERKSHOP goes straight into overdrive—fusing the rough-edged spirit of underground rave culture with the raw muscle of power house. On this EP, HEDO HYDR8 got his hands on 70s laboratory sound equipment. He uses vintage and analog tools like filters, oscillators, and amplifiers to conjure up five instances of contemporary and fierce dancefloor energy.

The release, following HEDO HYDR8's first China tour, further cements his place at the intersection of electronic experimentation and dancefloor urgency. With a discography that spans angels, Juicy Gang Records (with DJ SPIT), XXIII (with Muskila), and sets aired on Rinse FM, NTS (ZULI), and Peder Mannerfelt’s mix series, HYDR8’s ever-shifting approach continues to resonate on an international scale.

∎ Vitaline makes her debut on Mexican label Terminal with "Lost in the Swell", a seven-track project shaped between Paris and the sea. Written over eight months of back-and-forth between studio sessions and dancefloors, the EP captures a hybrid spirit: raw, playful, and physical, balancing tension and freedom.

∎ The original tracks move across techno, bass, breakbeat, and percussive frameworks. Air-Reverse sets the tone with sharp propulsion, Alley-Oop dives into twisting bass patterns, and On-shore pulses with tidal movement. Wild Card closes the originals with fractured groove and edge.

∎ Remixes come from artists like Doctor Jeep, Phasmid, and Brodinski, each refracting the originals into distinct mutations and stretching the release into new registers. The result is a functional yet unpredictable toolkit, cut to sustain intensity and keep dancers off balance. Together, they reinforce the EP as a statement of Vitaline’s versatility and her connection to the global club continuum.

✤ Lénok’s "Langue of Tongue" is a descent. An unhinged pinballing down a realm of incomprehension and lunacy, a darkly psychedelic ego-death-spiral into a world of pure, deranged disquiet. It is, and this cannot be emphasised enough, a truly fucked up place. The message is clear: this is less album than zone.

✤ There's no comfort to be found here. It’s like the inner monologue of some insectile, cyborgian abomination, something unfeeling and hostile, something that could only thrive in a mirror world that perverts light and sullies warmth. It's a netherworld: tracks jut out and stab like cold, craggy wastelandscapes, tangled meshworks of alienic transmissions bleed out into deformed knots of gurgling white noise, lacerations of sound roil and heave and claw as if imprisoned within oppressive waveforms. Lénok is best in this - creating her totally unique and mesmerizing sound-world.

✤ "Langue of Tongue" is recommended for the curious and advanced listener. This is music for whatever the opposite of escapism is — it’s REAL twisted. But sometimes morbid fascination takes hold. Sometimes you lift the rock, because you can’t help it, and you observe the squirming mess of life it plays host to. What you experience may not be pleasant, but you might just struggle to tear yourself away.

৲ After 2024’s "EZMVA" album, and this year’s expansive 136-minute celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Electronic Music and Media Arts program in Pécs — "EzmBA 15", released on programme head Eszelős Meszelős’s dióbél —, @111family opens a new chapter with a compilation called "EZMVA2". 

৲ The 17-track collection deepens our shared vocabulary with new faces and fresh voices; slightly less dark and a touch more introspective than the previous iteration, the album balances an equal number of bold bangers and form-free experimental pieces. The result is an hour-long, colorful snapshot of a scene forever in motion.

৲ This single, "Metal Branch" by young Budapest/Pécs-based producer Vava is an incredible, playful collage of tasty sounds. It sounds like a club banger was a person and went to an Island for vacation. Eerie, hypnotic, and cartoonish.

The full compilation will be released on October 16.

One of our favorite labels, All Centre, is back with a new project. This time, they welcome Helsinki-based producer Rizio to the roster for his debut on the label. After a breakout 2024 with his first EP on No Snakes and a recent standout appearance on YUKU’s Fresh Faces compilation, Rizio continues to refine his intricate, bass-heavy sound on the Hyperobject EP. Rizio merges geometric rhythms, warped textures, and sub-aquatic bass with vaporous tonal movements.

Dubbed-out bass hits enter the mix as the track strikes a perfect balance between a heady atmosphere and a physical dancefloor cut.

Peter: It’s like a lullaby. And it continues to repeat over itself and then stays in your head, instead of ‘let the words do the talking’, which is a clear chorus song. In the previous question, I said the word genre, a word that can be very disliked within certain music scenes. In this album, you navigate through drum and bass, shoegaze, DIY, trip hop, folk, spoken word, and so many genres. It is all done in a seemingly effortless manner, but did this come naturally?

Dorian: I think the fact that we're both doing editing helped a lot. I'm doing video editing, and Ryo’s doing sound editing of films for a living. So it's something we are comfortable working with. You have different layers: lyrics, melody, rhythm, textures, and the way they’re combined can create different stories. It’s like a long walk where you’ve got interactions that bring you to another one, and to another one, etc…

Ryo: It’s funny because we both grew up learning how to play and write music within a band, where we mimicked stereotyped genres, but for this project, it was a completely different process. You have to lay all of your materials inside a timeline and figure out how they can coexist and evolve together. I think that’s why we never actually talked about genre.

[Swine Guest Mix] - Psykopaty

⇯ 𝐒𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄𝐑𝐄 ⇯ @osheyack and @nahashisalive teamed up for an incredible track called "Le Temps Fou" for the new 42-track compilation by Spanish label and event series @flux-aeterna-968106596

➜ Osheyack about this track: "The track it’s something Raph and I (Eli, Osheyack) made quickly, sending stems and samples back and forth for a few days. The main sample is from the album Le Temps Fou by Marion Brown (1969)." The duo has flipped the saxophonist Marion Brown's music into a totally mad club-hybrid storm in their signature style.

¶ Curated by Yugen Kala, the initiative "Flux" started as a series of monthly events that have consistently acted as a meeting point where diverse musical and cultural paradigms intersect. Flux connects Galicia’s local scene with varied international voices, creating a dialogue that transforms difference into resonance. In this sense, the project can be understood as a living exchange - shaped by an ongoing flux of experiences, sounds, and knowledge - where seemingly disconnected communities are brought together organically.

¶ Over more than 50 editions and 100 performances, this ethos has materialized in an expansive constellation of talent, such as: seminal label founders Kode9 (Hyperdub), μ-Ziq (Planet Mu), Rabit (Halcyon Veil), Mumdance (Different Circles), Fausto Bahía & Mexican Jihad (NAAFI), Kamixlo (Bala Club), and Endgame (Precious Metals); cutting-edge voices from Shanghai’s SVBKVLT, including 33EMYBW and Osheyack; artists associated with Nyege Nyege, such as Ecko Bazz, Phelimuncasi, De Schuurman, and Sisso & Maiko; and Lisbon’s Príncipe Discos, featuring Nídia, DJ Marfox, DJ Firmeza, and DJ Narciso.

¶ To commemorate this trajectory, Flux presents a compilation featuring 42 exclusive contributions from past guests on their new label, Flux Æterna. This compilation stands as both an archival gesture and a statement of intent, celebrating a legacy of reinvention while opening new paths forward.

✤ "This VA compilation by @minuitrapide brings together electronic artists from around the world, united in solidarity with the people of Gaza. In the face of silence and inaction from our governments, we believe it's our responsibility, as artists and human beings, to contribute however we can," says the label.

✤ SawtPalestine is an independent association founded by Ahmed Jome, a Palestinian based in Marseille, with the mission of building a bridge between Gaza and the World. Their work focuses on supporting orphans and displaced families in Gaza, especially those with no contact or aid from the outside.

✤ On the ground, a local team operates daily to provide direct financial, emotional, and recreational support to children and families in need. Long-term, SawtPalestine aims to build an orphanage. Since its creation, the association has also launched a traveling Palestinian kitchen, collaborated with activist networks and artists from different fields, and organized events to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
