This podcast is about a research article that explores the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to understand general practitioners' (GPs') intentions to use e-learning in continuing medical education (CME). The study involved developing a questionnaire based on the TPB framework and analyzing data from 148 GPs. The researchers found that TPB successfully predicted GPs' intentions to use e-learning, with perceived behavioral control and attitude emerging as the most influential factors. Notably, subjective norms, which refer to social pressure, did not significantly influence intention. The findings suggest that CME managers can leverage TPB to enhance e-learning adoption among GPs by focusing on improving their perceived control and positive attitudes toward the technology.
