Austin/Toronto-based straight up rock-and-rollw duo Black Pistol Fire is pleased to announce their Hush or Howl LP. Due out April 1, 2014 on Modern Outsider the collection of eleven tracks is exquisitely packed with a band clearly in their Southern Rock prime. 

Their wild and energetic rock-and-roll sound has been described as a mix of classic southern rock and garage punk, garnering comparisons to early Kings of Leon, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The White Stripes, and Clutch. It's clear that the band's sound spans many different eras and subgenres, relying on a classic rock and roll sound that has been updated for our modern times.

'Dead Dog' is the new song from Salvation Bill.  One day, shortly after moving into his new house he heard a terrible sound. A sound that screwed at his stomach and jiggled his adrenal glands. It wasn't woofing; woofing is a nice word and comes out of kids books and used to describe self-satisfied unemployed people who have just left university. 
It was a 'hollow, Jurassic sound'. It was barking at its most demented. One Friday night it started at 5.30 and finished at 11.30am the next morning. It was a continuous, super loud barking by a great dane with some very capable pipes.  After countless ruined lie-ins and weekends Salvation Bill decided to take vengeance in the most withering way possible. 

He would write a song and call it 'Dead Dog'

The EP contains three new songs stemming from the writing and recording sessions for their critically acclaimed album Rave Tapes, released earlier this year, alongside remixes of three songs from that record by Blanck Mass, Pye Corner Audio and Nils Frahm. Newcastle dream pop outfit Seeing Hands have announced the upcoming release of their debut single ‘I Knew You’. Recorded in their hometown, the track is the first in a series of releases planned over the next twelve months and sparks immediate comparisons to the likes of The War On Drugs and Wild Nothing.

Comprising of Kev Curran (vocals, guitar), Nick Hodgson (lead guitar), Jon Varty (bass) and Liam Guillan (drums), the quartet’s jangly guitars and dreamy vocals have already earned them airplay on Radio X and their profile is sure to be enhanced further following this first single release.

Produced by Jack Boyle and John Elliott (Loft Studios, Newcastle), Seeing Hands’ ‘I Knew You’ is released on 5th August and will be available to purchase on iTunes and Spotify.
