With great pleasure I am happy to present you the 14th episode of Nachtblumen’s sonic story courtesy of @ignez_smv - a Dutch DJ and producer currently based in Berlin, who in recent years gained popularity for his label Somov records, a release on renowned labels like @indigoaera and being a resident of the Dutch event organization Eerste Communie.

From hard, driving organic techno, through hypnotic elements to ambient scapes, it is nearly impossible to put Ignez’ sound into a clear definition. Influenced by Detroit minimalism and the Berlin techno scene, Ignez is somewhat a hybrid of energies that really delivers a unique musical experience.

It is my great pleasure to announce the 15th episode of Nachtblumen courtesy of Hüseyin Evirgen also known as Magna Pia. He is one half of Cassegrain, and is working on his own solo material as Magna Pia since 2016.

He studied composition, piano and electronic music at the University of Istanbul and Mozarteum Salzburg. He has composed music for theatre, dance performances and mixed media for almost two decades. 

As Magna Pia, Hüseyin Evirgen focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism. His solo releases include EPs on Soma Records, his debut album on Feral Note and his solo release on Arcing Seas.

In his set for Nachtblumen, Hüseyin delivers a very dynamic and diverse story, in which one can clearly hear how perfectly in control he is of every element. This hour is a great representation of what I love about the sound of Magna Pia – it’s deep, dark, emotional, driving and it can hypnotise you into a relentless state of dancing for your mind and body. Nachtblumen Podcast #15 Magna Pia

The next podcast comes from Swiss born, Berlin based DJ and Producer @floboscope.

Nowadays, Florin describes his sound as raw, cinematic trippy and deep. He loves to experiment a lot within the hypnotic realm of electronic music – from unknown soundscapes, through deep atmospheric sounds to bleepy sci-fi harder techno. At a club night, you can expect hearing Fløbo either opening the night, as he loves that timeslot because it gives him the chance to experiment more and even start with ambient to slowly building the night, or he would be keeping you on your feet dancing during peak time. 

In 2019 he moved to Berlin, where he found his intuition in sound design and began working with analog gear. In the same year he launched his platform Hypnaughtic with a mix by Takaaki Itoh. Together with his partner Ilenka, he is working and developing this platform. In the future, Florin plans to develop Hypnaughtic further, launch a label and release more music for other labels, while continuously working hard on his sound.

Fløbo recorded a special mix for me, where he showcases solid mixing skills, and his diverse interest in hypnotic techno. As we are approaching the summer and the time to get back on the dancefloor, this set is a great opportunity to warm up your mind and body and prepare for those special nights. I am looking forward to experiencing Fløbo on the dancefloor while I completely get lost in his hypnotic world. Enjoy!

Nachtblumen Podcast #16 Fløbo

The next episode in the Nachtblumen Podcast series comes from @ryogoyamamoritracks - a Japanese DJ and Producer based in Tokyo, Japan. 

He is one of the most known and recognized artists in the local Japanese scene. With over 20 years of experience in the electronic music industry, and playing clubs like Womb and Vent in Tokyo, he also had the chance to tour the world and present his deep, hypnotic driving sound to a wider audience.

‘’I started going to clubs in Japan when I was in high school, which was the beginning of club music. The major influences that came to Japan were New York House, Chicago, Detroit, and later Kraftwerk from Europe. It was around that time that I became interested in DJing and started buying records. I bought so many records that I had no room to walk around. When the digital age came along, I couldn't accept it, so I slept with my records!!’’

Acclaimed also as a producer, Ryogo Yamamori has established a platform of his sounds on 951beat and it has grown to feature some of his closest affiliates including Kan Shinomura, Hisaharu Sato,Skoll,Sinnertia. Ryogo has released on respected labels all around the world including his ‘’Trinity’’ EP on Josh Wink’s Ovum, a contribution to the ‘’Hot Steel 2’’ VA on Nina Kraviz’ трип, and his outstanding work on Psyk’s Non Series. Nowadays his focus is mostly on developing his own imprint Kagerou and releasing a lot of his solo work there!

The set he recorded for Nachtblumen is a label showcase of unreleased works of his that are soon to come up on his label in the upcoming months! It is an elegant, hypnotic journey into the world of Kagerou that will make you daydream about those heavenly Japanese landscapes and atmospheres. Press play and enjoy!

Jeroen van der Want also known as RON L, is a Dutch DJ based in Gouda, The Netherlands and a resident of the Rotterdam-based organization Embodiment. 

After years of actively experiencing the Dutch techno scene, Jeroen was becoming more and more drawn to that world by the long-lasting feelings of fulfilment and belonging that he experienced after every event. His love and passion for the music made him take the next steps into starting his journey as a DJ.

Inspired by artists like Speedy J, Luke Slater, Function, and labels like Dynamic Reflection, Pole Group and Illegal Alien Records, RON L has crafted a powerful blend of driving, loopy and hypnotic sounds, which is often best experienced during the peak time of the night. Nowadays, Jeroen is using the Pioneer DDJ-1000 controller, where he has the chance to work with 3 or 4 decks and express himself even better through complex intense atmospheres.
So far Jeroen had the chance to play for the Amsterdam-based Orphic crew, Frameworks in his hometown Gouda and Embodiment in Rotterdam alongside Rene Wise and Somewhen. 

To Jeroen being a resident of Embodiment means that he is in a trust-worthy environment, where mutual respect is a ground rule, and he feels supported to grow musically and push his limits, which in turn will allow him to give back to the community by sharing his knowledge. In the future, he hopes to get the chance to perform more all around the Netherlands, but also internationally.

Nachtblumen Podcast #19 RON L

The 20th episode of the Nachtblumen Podcast comes as a celebration of the 4th birthday of the platform which was earlier this month.

Olivier Morssinkhof also known as Morssink is an up and coming Dutch DJ born and based in Tilburg, The Netherlands.Having gone through the entire spectrum of genres gradually while growing up, Olivier was introduced to electronic music a few years ago, which happened to be his final destination. 
As the local techno scene in Tilburg isn’t so developed or big, Olivier was challenged to do a lot of discoveries on his own outside of a club environment. Understanding how a good set is built was one of those things. Tommy Four Seven has been one of his early inspirations, when it came to building a coherent techno experience. 

Nowadays, it is the hypnotic sound that mostly characterizes Morssink’s sets. Heavily influenced by Pole Group, he has managed to find that sweet spot between raw, straightforward and hypnotic sounds. His output is always incredibly consistent, and when you listen to a Morssink set you feel like you are in a proper club environment. 

In his mix for Nachtblumen, he really wanted to deliver a consistent story that demonstrates his skills, taste and love for the hypnotic sound. His appreciation towards my platform motivated him to bring his best techno set to date incorporating a lot of Nordic sounds and inspirations from this year’s Draaimolen experience.

Nachtblumen Podcast #20 Morssink

I am happy to present you with the second full-length premiere on the Nachtblumen channel coming from the British techno label @platform-22. PLTM014 is the first release for the year, a split EP between label owner FLAWS and Underground Minneapolis based prodigy Lonefront.

@lonefront featured on ‘Formed Ethics’ with his track ‘Carnivalesque’ back in February earlier this year, Since then he has been on a momentous journey developing his craft, especially his drifting live sets, Recently playing at Reform Curated by DVS1 in Los Angeles. Ross (His real name) embodies an incredibly compassionate approach towards music, focusing on his niche of rhythm and flowing synthesis, his sound can be easily identified as the name that is Lonefront.

With this being FLAWS’s Second EP this year it is a special one for him pairing up with Lonefront on his home label. @flawsrepo has been observant and productive in this timezone, reforming his sound and vision as he enters the new period of Electronic Music. Constantly on the search for knowledge and light, it leads him to many exciting projects, some to be announced later this year.

Nachtblumen Premiere: FLAWS - Projected [Platform 22]

Spas Tsvetkov also known as Asymmetrik is a Bulgarian DJ and Producer born and based in Sofia, Bulgaria. 

Asymmetrik is a versatile producer that experiments a lot with sound and pushes the boundaries of electronic music through his releases. Concentrated mainly on the diversity in the techno realm, his output stretches between obscure and minimalist soundscapes to the high energy club weapons. When you listen to Asymmetrik, you are always invited to experience different emotions and let your imagination run wild. 

Some of his releases include a full length EP for the Bulgarian DVNTT label, a four-tracker EP for another Bulgarian label Spazio Speziale, and some contributions to VA compilations for Muted Records and Subsist Records. When it comes to sound design over the years Asymmetrik derived a lot of inspiration from artists like Cio D’or, Blawan, Richie Hawtin, Maetrik, Milton Bradley to name a few.

Asymmetrik’s first album “Parallel Reality” represents the alternative worlds running alongside each other and occasionally even crossing their trajectories. As in the string theory, it is presenting the idea of parallel to each other universes. It stands for the “now”, “will be” and for the “was”. The album will bring you trough darkness and light. It will throw you in the air and then pull you back under the surface of reality."

Nachtblumen Premiere: Asymmetrik - Mpak [Subsist Records]

The first podcast for 2022 comes from the Dutch DJ and Producer Rambadu, who is born and based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. 

Rambadu entered the world of electronic music at an early age through various experiences in his hometown. Driven by the love and passion for this music, he got into DJing and soon after that he was often playing around town. 

For the past 12 years, he has devoted most of his time to producing, and as of recently launched his own label - Rambadu. Next to his solo productions on his imprint, some other releases include: a remix for Vanoni on Ritualism Records, his solo EP ''AJNA'' on Hypnus Records, and an upcoming appearence on Claudio PRC's imprint 012 on V/A Systema Naturae I along side: Claudio PRC, Forest On Stasys and Dycide.

Rambadu's sound can be characterized by its floating energy, organic sounds and droning atmospheres. In this mix he demonstrates fluid mixing skills over three decks, where the listener is invited to experience a dynamic endeavour. The next chapter in my podcast series comes from the Italian DJ, producer and label owner Andrea Deplano, also known as @ness. 

Coming from Sardinia, Italy, Ness has become a respected figure in the electronic music scene, especially when talking about hypnotic techno. With a background in sound engineering, research, fine-tuning and over a decade of experience as a producer and DJ, Andrea has crafted a signature sound that influenced an entire generation in music. 

His productions and sets are typically defined as a wide range of exploration between hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes. As of recently, the Italian producer decided to expand that scope even more, by creating the trance-influenced alias L-3P, under which he will be releasing music with a higher bpm, which only shows that he is constantly evolving and challenging his presence in music.

Next to playing around the globe, Ness has been running successfully his label The Gods Planet, which is a home to many established talents as well as newcomers with fresh ideas. The constantly evolving concept of the label unfolds fully in an in-depth article on the blog.

Nachtblumen Podcast #22 Ness

The autumn leaves flying in the air mark a new season, and the next chapter in the Nachtblumen Podcast.  

Thomas Hijmering is a Dutch DJ and Producer coming from Amsterdam. He started exploring music in all its facets from an early age. Curious by nature, and with an eternal drive for experimentation, Thomas has been involved with the local music scene with various projects. 

In the recent years Thomas appeared behind the booth as a part of the duo File Not Found with one of his best briends Brent Jacko, who is now running the independent electronic music platform Minimal Collective. This project focused on the wider spectrum of music, without any limitations or definitions, but one main thing - their immense passion for music. Nowadays, Thomas is also involved and contributing to Minimal Collective too.

In the post pandemic world, Thomas became a resident of the Amsterdam organization Orphic, which has been a big step for his career as a DJ. Being so close in touch with the core community of the Amsterdam music scene, inspires him to evolve as an artist and also help shape the sound of the organization every day. 

Characterized by hypnotizing sounds, groovy rhythms and beautiful layering, Thoms Traxx is an artist that tells a story in every performance of his. He easily adapts, and is capable of creating various atmospheres with a lot of dynamic depending on the place and company he is at. One reason for that is the wide spectrum of music that he appreciates. 

His artistic journey is taking a momentum already, as we are seeing him play internationally in Paris and Berlin, and all over The Netherlands. It's only the beginning for such a talented dedicated young man.

For this podcast, Thomas went deeper into his soul and created a journey that reflects his love for hypnotic techno. The next hour is a beautiful journey, recorded with a lot of thought and feeling, from an artist that surprises his audience every day. Get in the mood for ADE next week and start dancing already!

Today I have the honor to premiere an artist that I deeply respect, releasing on a label with a special place in my heart.

Mary Yuzovskaya is a vinyl only DJ, producer and a label owner, with more than 15 years of experience and presence in the electronic music scene. Her life journey is one with many and exciting chapters. The beginning of her music career began in Berlin in the early 2000s, continued in New York in 2013, and made a full circle back to Berlin with her latest relocation in 2020.

She has toured the world, showcasing her craft and undeniable love for vinyl, which has certainly touched many minds and hearts. In addition to her success as a DJ, Mary’s talent and dedication have brought her becoming a producer with releases on labels such as Semantica, System Revival, upcoming Kvalia Records, and her very own Monday Off Records. 

For the 6th release of the Swedish Kvalia Records owned and curated by Linny Hex, Mary leaves the realm of the deep hypnotic techno, and surprises the audience with a more percussive and stripped down EP consisting of 3 dacefloor oriented techno cuts. The B1 - Schlaf is the track premiere of the EP, which is a strong statement of the recent mood of the artist, and conicidently the sound direction of Kvalia at the moment.

Nachtblumen Premiere: Mary Yuzovskaya - Schlaf [KVALIA006]

The EP’s: Infinite Oscillation, Liquid Solids, Quantum Realm, Equilibrium and Eye of Agamotto, each representing one of the five elements of nature. In this fourth instalment ‘’Equilibrium’’, Troy makes a return to the label with a subtle yet compelling offering. The track is driven by sharp percussion and enveloping, filtered chords that captivate the listener's attention. Following this, Ukrainian artists Svarog steps in, showcasing his signature style characterized by evolving pads and dreamy soundscapes, resulting in another enchanting piece of music ideal for the early hours.

Luigi Tozzi once again demonstrates his mastery in blending ambient influences with dubby atmospheres, creating music suitable for both dancefloors and living rooms. Meanwhile, in the EP's fourth track, Jonas Körbl, known for his 2017 debut album on Dynamic Reflection LTD, melds energetic percussion patterns and synth rhythms. His composition, "Primal Grade," serves as a fitting successor to Tozzi's "Haboob," as both artists exhibit a shared commitment to meticulously crafted techno.

Nachtblumen Premiere: Luigi Tozzi - Haboob [15YRDREF004]

Marc Tromp also known as WEES is an electronic music DJ/Producer based in Amsterdam and a resident of the event organisation SKIN.

His musical journey began over a decade ago when he delved into music production with little more than an old version of Fruity Loops and a burning passion to learn and express himself.

The young artist’s interests are not limited to only techno in its pure form. He holds fascination for experimental music, ambient and even breakbeat. While sharing his story, WEES is primarily focused on seeking ultimate freedom. Through crafting moments of ecstasy and infusing the heat that can immerse you in this musical journey, largely influenced by psychedelic sound elements, he channels his deepest emotions and closest relationships. 

With already a few releases under his belt, WEES is due to release his debut album called ‘’External Reflection’’ on the 3rd of November independently on Bandcamp. 

The album can be described as a love letter to all the important people in his life, and today I will premiere the prelude to that letter – the opening track ‘’95 Secures’’.

Jacopo Severitano, also known as Severja, is an Italian multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, and the visionary behind Midgar Records. 

Now based in Berlin, Severja has spent the past decade curating Midgar Records, shaping its distinct and aesthetically captivating identity. As a label owner he has ensured a sound aesthetic that defies genre categorization, but maintains a common thread of quality. With a diverse roster of artists including Agonis, Aa Sudd, Wata Igarashi, Tammo Hesselink, Polygonia, Forest Drive West, Ruff Cherry, and Keplrr to name a few, Midgar Records continually pushes the boundaries of electronic music, offering listeners an immersive and innovative auditory experience.

Raised on punk, rhythm, and raw energy, Admos (Mario) found his way into electronic music through his older brother Timo and a shared love of sound experimentation. With a background in drumming and a natural connection to hardware, his sets often blur the line between composition and improvisation. An attentive presence with a deeply intuitive ear, his approach is rooted in curiosity, sincerity, and a desire to break from expectation without ever losing emotional weight.

This live set was originally created as the closing performance for a techno-heavy club night—an invitation to shift the narrative and open up space for contrast. Structured in three sections, it weaves between tempos of 160, 80, and 150 bpm, with ambient pieces placed at the hinges to guide the transitions. The result is a dynamic, multi-layered journey that moves fluidly between experimental textures and grounded four-to-the-floor energy.

All the material in the set is unreleased—some tracks unfinished, others evolving. Produced in the weeks leading up to the performance, and brought to life through a chain of custom-built live effects, this recording captures Admos in process: instinctive, inventive, and deeply present.

Nachtblumen Premiere: Noah Lyas - Yashim [Profundo Collective]

Lucas Vazz is a DJ and Producer from Santiago, Chile and currently based in Berlin. He bagan his career in Chile and after he managed to establish himself on the Chilean techno scene with a couple of residencies in the most prestigious clubs, he decided to take the step towards a new chapter in Berlin. 

Such a big move, from Latin America to Europe ultimately altered Lucas’ sound a lot and he transitioned into the heavier, deeper frequencies of techno. His time in Berlin has been very inspiring, and in addition to playing clubs across town, he created his own collective INHERENCIA. It is a project that unites many artists, who are interested in arts, social current issues, and music. So far Inherencia had 8 events in Berlin, and is soon turning into a record label as well, where likeminded producers will release quality techno and ambient music. 

Lucas recently had releases on Panal Records and  Ostgut Ton’s resident Fiedel’s own label Super Sound Tool.

Nachtblumen Podcast #4 LUCAS VAZZ

Theodora Marinova aka TEDKA is a Bulgarian DJ living between Sofia and London. Theodora developed interest in electronic music, the rave culture and parties from a very early age. Growing up in the hardcore East, where this culture is not so popular, she tried to get a taste of it in every way possible. As hard as it is in a country like this, TEDKA quickly realised that her love for music has turned into a great passion and a vital element of her being, which led her to the decision to start DJing and develop her taste further. Soon after that she moved to London where a whole new world unfolded itself before her eyes.

Having the chance to experience one of the crucial scenes for electronic music in Europe – the London scene, TEDKA was so inspired that she ended up researching techno and the electronic music industry in her Master studies as well. Her interests in a wide spectrum of topics such as sociology, cultural sciences, philosophy and art theory, contribute largely to her artistic expression in music. 

Even though soundwise TEDKA's starting point is always techno, she has not yet come to a point where she can strictly differentiate and define her sound boundaries. She enjoys exploring different musical concepts and doesn’t feel like she has to follow a strict vision, as it is her curiosity for unknown sounds and styles that keep her digging and creativity going. Her personal musical interests are spread over the entire spectrum of music from Prince to Aphex Twin and everything else in between. Additionally, she often draws inspiration from visual artworks or creates visual mood boards, which helps her recreate this desired mood with sound as well. 

In the last couple of months, TEDKA was invited to play at the best techno events in Bulgaria, Stamina’s parties where she got to play alongside Perc and 99999999. She has also been invited to play at this year’s Balkan Station – a festival taking place in Bulgaria this year – alongside DJs such as Lag and Errorbeauty. Apart from wanting to play, Theodora is also devoting some of her time on nourishing Bulgaria's electronic music culture. Hence, since the beginning of this year, she has also joined Fonoteka Elektrika's team as a writer covering the harder spectrum of electronic music and local talent.

The 8th instalment of our podcast series comes from special guest Jephta. 

Jefta Wattimena also known as Jephta is a Dutch DJ based in Rotterdam, who is also a resident of the Embodiment organization- a rave that is fueled by the vision of people who are dedicated to the dance floor. A vision in which both the DJ and the dancers are pushed to the very limit to create the most intense and cohesive vibe during the night. With a solid concept, dedicated residents and a successful event at Perron, they proved to be an integral part of the underground scene in Rotterdam, which is very refreshing to the current state of the underground music scene.

Jephta is an up and coming artist, who quickly established himself in the local scene after playing at events like Orphic in Amsterdam and Extended in The Hague. His undeniable talent and intelligent approach to selection and mixing were quickly recognized, which led him to playing bigger events such as Reaktor alongside artists like Lobster and Comrade Winston, Anthony Linell, Planetary Assault Systems, Bjarki, and Oscar Mulero. 

For Jephta electronic music is a way of expressing oneself and escaping reality. Its a moment where he can let go of the worries and stress of the day-to-day life and feel peace, anger or any emotion he needs to feel at that moment. As he is a passionate dancer and clubber himself, Techno is just the perfect match. 

Characterized by hypnotic, trippy and experimental sounds in his sets and heavily influenced by artists and labels like Drumcell, Ancient Methods, Northern Electronics and Posh Isolation, Jephta’s main goal is to make people feel the music he plays, which is often a selection of diverse sub-genres mixed in a smooth and consistent set. Driven by the values of techno culture and his own experiences, he wants to offer the audience an opportunity to establish a connection or simply set their emotions free and enjoy the dance floor while sharing the happiness with the ravers around. A soundscape created by Jephta means a full mind and body experience.  

He recorded this set for us at his home in The Netherlands, and you can expect a very consistent deep journey with just the right amount of melancholia, which progresses into a heavier more dancefloor oriented mood.

Ed Davenport also known as Inland is a british DJ, Producer and founder of the Counterchange Recordings label based in Berlin. As Inland today his busy output stands for purist and inherently progressive rhythmic work, grounded in the romantic traditions of early techno yet driven by a constant search for new ground, textures and studio-techniques.

The last few years have been very eventful for Ed. He has been successfully running his label and expanding the catalogue with excellent contributions from known and unknown talent, as well as travelling around the world to play music, while he has been also getting in touch with the contemporary art world more by collaborating with different artists for various art projects, which have been exhibited around Europe. Some highlights of Ed’s dedicated hard work include the release of his outstanding debut album ''An Invitation To Disappear'' in collaboration with swiss artist Julian Charrière on Ostgut Ton's sub label A-TON, and the release of a massive VA  compilation record on his very own Counterchange label featuring artist such as Efdemin, Peter van Hoesen, BNJMN, Joel Mull, Distant Echoes and many more! 

The latest project of Inland is a series of events called Arch, which are very cozy and special nights at Prince Charles in Berlin dedicated to live electronics, electro-acoustic and experimental concerts. After a successful first edition of Arch featuring BNJMN, Pornceptual resident Jamaica Suk and a stunning b2b performance of Inland himself together with film music composer John Guetler, Ed continued to invite inspiring artists such as Magna Pia, Mattheis and coming up next are Perm, Johanna Knutsson, Fred Mann and Amandra. Nachtblumen Podcast #9 Inland

Today we are reaching another milestone, our 10th podcast! This month we give you the pleasure of listening to Lucien Biscop, DJ and producer currently based near London. 

Lucien Biscop is an artist who developed strong interest in music, art and culture from an early age. Having played the violin for many years, and interacting with music through multiple mediums, it was only the beginning of a life-long journey in music. He entered the electronic music world a few years ago when he discovered the underground scene and started to regularly visit events. Those experiences narrowed down a lot his musical taste, and guided him further in the discovery and understanding of that culture, and in a way made him grow up musically.

Following his instincts and undeniable passion for music, Lucien ended up taking DJ lessons with Mantas at BAD Become a DJ, a studio based in London and run by Mantas, Egle, and Katie, who are the crew that later on created the legendary ‘’On The 5th Day’’ events at Corsica Studios in London. Lucien became a resident at OT5D and that was the beginning of his artist life. 

Having the chance to play alongside some of his heroes, the residency was a great learning experience for him:
‘’I learned a huge amount during that time, opening for many different artists really helped me understand that during a night, as a DJ, it is not just about me, and that I was part of a bigger thing, a piece of the puzzle. In a way it would humble my approach towards music selection, to respect and introduce properly the headliners, whilst still having a sound/style true to myself, and also enjoyable for the crowd. In my mind the job and responsibilities of a resident are much more difficult than headliners on the night. I have been to other events where this was amazingly done, and some, where the headliners had to save the night because the vibe set before them was not suiting.’’
With a wide taste in music, Lucien’s sound, however, can be narrowed down to the deep and driving spectrum of techno, as well as more experimental compositions. After producing for several years and learning the art and craft of music making, earlier in 2020 he released his ‘’Morning Still’’ EP featuring a remix by Stainslav Tolkachev. 

The future for Lucien is bright and it includes a lot of productions and new challenging projects like a live set or more experimental ideas brought to life. For his set at Nachtblumen, he used a combination of vinyl and digital setup, and relied on emotions and feelings to guide him through the impeccable track selection which resulted in a beautiful, grounded and deep journey! Nachtblumen Podcast #10 Lucien Biscop

The first episode of the Nachtblumen podcast for 2021 comes from Camille Ferdinandus also known as @rosillon, a Dutch artist based in Rotterdam. 

Rosillon’s sound is mostly focused on the deep hypnotic realm of techno. After years of music exploration, he got to experience artists like Rødhåd, Ntogn and CHPTR, which paved the way for his dreams in music. As this type of techno is not that popular in the Netherlands, Camille wants to try and introduce it to people and show the beauty of true storytelling and morphing atmospheres. To him storytelling means finding the right records that have unique elements, which when combined create an otherworldly mind and body experience for the listener. 

In his vinyl only podcast, Camille tells the story of hope. The set is a combination of light and dark atmospheres that bring you to an obscure place, somewhat a metaphor for the world we live in right now. It also reflects his deep feelings for a special someone that inspired him to be hopeful in these times of darkness.

Ruben Ganev’s sound can be described as very energetic and dynamic but still hypnotic. As a producer and as a DJ, Ruben always tries to maintain a certain groove and atmosphere which brings the listener closer to a club experience and awakens strong desire for relentless dancing and getting lost in rhythm. He recorded a podcast for me, where he included some of his own productions and showcased once again excellent mixing skills and his ability to deliver a quality high intensity experience with a hint of wilderness and hypnosis in it.
