Our next guest is a producer and a DJ based in Oslo, Norway. Working within music as a sound technician/producer as well as having a number of projects across a wide range of styles and expressions, ranging from ambient and psychedelic rock to psy-chill and techno. With his project Hydrous the focus and style is rooted in the hypnotic, psychedelic and atmospheric side of techno. Drawing a big part of his inspiration from nature, especially the nordic scenery, as well as meditative states, bringing these threads of inspiration throughout his productions as well as DJ sets.
Released his debut EP on @navigare-audio in 2021 and has recently been releasing music on labels such as @charybdis-records, @indefinite-pitch, @lotusparable and @soriarec. Please welcome @hydrous1

Laima Adelaide - Opening set Tresor Berlin (new faces), 04.09.2024

Here is the recording of my opening set for new faces at Tresor Berlin.
In this format I only played my own productions and a few remixes. Also it was a challenge to create a storyline with a fixed set of tracks. 
I started to release this sound in 2020 and it has given me a lot of joy to work on music (and also some pain now and then), meet people from the scene and travel to places to perform.

For our twenty third installment we've invited August, an upcoming DJ and dancefloor regular based in Amsterdam.

August loves to explores the deeper, more experimental and organic side of techno. His sets blend intricate soundscapes, broken rhythms, and dark ambient influences, creating deep, immersive experiences that transport listeners to otherworldly realms.

Beyond conventional techno, August delves into ambient, downtempo, halftime, and IDM, crafting dynamic sets that keep audiences captivated. His performances balance the experimental with the danceable, each one a carefully curated journey and story waiting to be told.

Some words by Bart about his mix:
I wanted to create a mix that captures the essence of the dancefloor, focusing on storytelling, deep kicks, and impressive soundscapes. These elements are what I value most in a set.

In the past, I struggled to capture the vibrant energy of a club while working from home or in the studio. This time, I decided to limit myself to just two attempts at recording, which allowed me to focus on the creative process rather than getting caught up in perfectionism. This approach worked really well, and I had a great time recording. I'm excited to share the final result—it's a club-focused mix with tracks from all my favorite producers."
