[UVAR010] A Song Written For Reny

Following an excursion into the more obscure depths of electronics with the 'Elsewhere MMDLXXVI' compilation, @kalaharioystercult return to the club with a new 12" from American producer @urulu. The label has been on a great run of form with releases from the likes of Rhythm Of Paradise and Roza Terenzi, and 'Foreign Depths' continues this with three strong tracks and a remix from Ex-Terrestrial.

Our pick is 'Transworld' which kicks off at full speed with splintered beats before giving way to gorgeous, arcing synth lines. Hardcore through the kaleidoscope.

Returning to this utopia in the desert is a dream each year. Having the Sunday slot in my mind for weeks had me thinking I would take it easy leading up to it. I was mistaken. Together with Britta, the Happy Camper gato's and our favourite Robot LEN10 we roamed the desert like there was no tomorrow. Ended up having one of the best weeks of my life and happened to be my perfect warm up to play Robot Heart.  Surrounded by some of my favourite humans on the planet the set came together by relying on ease, love and gratitude.  

Much love to all the shiny disco balls dancing all over the bus & the Playa for the warm hearted support and off course the robots for having me and welcoming me and my friends with open arms. I loved it.

Ever since his first visit to Olganitz, So (@satoshiaoyagi) has been a close friend of the Nachti family - joining us for some of our club dates as well as, of course, for the last edition of our beloved summer celebration. After opening our Open Air Stage on Friday, we also asked him to play a second set on our Ambient Stage on Saturday - and he did it with just so much elegance and grace as we know from his dancefloor sets.

Der Mix ist im Recording etwas in die Hose gegangen. Irgendwie fehlt die Stereosumme hier und da, es brummt ab und an und insgesamt ist die Kiste einfach bissl buggy. Aber Verluste sind beim letzten Ritt immer einzuplanen und machen ihn letztlich authentisch.
