[NST090] Robin Hirte & Mike Väth - Ergon EP

This is the second episode of our monthly podcast 'Nachtstrom Sessions‘ mixed by Dave Wincent!

Dave Wincent was born in Miskolc, Hungary. Since the age of 12, he has been completely consumed by music. He started out on his musical journey learning to play the drums and saxophone. So, it was from a very early age that he recognised and understood rhythm and melody. By the age of 14, he began to take music seriously, with the goal of performing at a professional level, at the top of his to-do list.

Like most, Dave started out playing at small parties in Hungary and on the local radio stations. He would spend all of his money growing his record collection. Soon after starting to DJ regularly and by the age of 16, he became interested in the production side of the music he was playing. The deeper he delved into it, the more important it became for him to learn and produce his own music. He first made music, using only his computer before expanding his equipment set up to include analog and digital Synthesizers. He worked very hard to develop his own unique style both behind the decks as a DJ and in the studio as a music producer.

In recent years Dave’s career has blossomed and he has been booked for more and more shows. This gave him the opportunity for travel and to reach audiences further afield in Miskolc and in the City of Budapest.

In 2009, Dave Wincent released his first artist EP. This changed everything for him. In recent years with releases on Materia, SOMA, Phobos Records, KD Raw, Olympian, and Nachstrom Schallplatten, he is building quite the production discography. These releases have been the key to his success in building his profile to be globally recognisable.

Dave loves what he does as an artist. Reaching people across the world with his music has and will always be the dream. Long may this continue!

Nachtstrom Sessions #02 - Dave Wincent (20.09.2024)

Tatsuya Kanamori quickly became one of the few Japanese techno producers to rise to worldwide prominence within the late 90's techno scene with his productions and remixes as DJ Shufflemaster.
Originally a committed member of the Tokyo-based label Subvoice, where he released several of his early EPs, Kanamori's reputation outside of Japan was greatly aided by his affiliation with European techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Ben Sims and Carl Lekebusch.

It was no surprise that Berlin-based Tresor knocked on the door and offered Kanamori the opportunity to record her first full-length album. In 2001, he appeared via Tresor, a full-length LP packed with a string of dancefloor-oriented techno productions featuring Kanamori's trademark aesthetic, making him one of the first Japanese techno producers to achieve worldwide recognition.

Meet Luca Redivo — an Amsterdam-based audio engineer and DJ/producer who also goes by the name R/D/V. Known for his grounded attitude and love for deep, immersive sound, Luca channels his energy into creating hypnotic techno and ambient music that pulls listeners into another dimension.

As part of his creative path, R/D/V has recently released music on labels like [R]3volution, Analog Solutions, and Devotion, while also performing at a variety of events and venues, including Tresor, Résilience, and Acquario.

Beyond the booth and studio, Luca is deeply involved in the technical side of sound. He engineers at multiple studios and live venues and takes part in collaborative projects that push the boundaries of audio exploration.

Pyramidal Decode is the alias of Francesco De Marzo, a prolific Italian techno producer and DJ born in 1998.

Starting his musical journey as a guitarist, he later embraced electronic instruments, developing a unique production style that manipulates and distorts sounds into new forms.

Since launching the Pyramidal Decode project in 2017, he has released music on renowned labels such as Axis Records, Dynamic Reflection, MORD, Warm Up and his own Phyr Records.

His sets and productions are celebrated for their emotional depth and technical mastery, making him a rising figure in the international techno scene.
