Detroit Son is my story. Not the polished version the real one. I grew up in a small house on the East Side of Detroit, with too much noise and too little peace. My parents split early, and I learned quick what silence can hide. I became the man of the house before I even understood what that meant. I worked right after high school, held us together, and put music on hold just to make sure my mom and little sister were okay.

This song is me finally telling the world where I come from  the cold nights, the heavy days, the dreams I buried, and the strength I found along the way.
I’m not perfect. I’m not loud. But I’m real. And if you’ve ever felt like you had to grow up too fast… this one’s for you.

Growing up in Detroit wasn’t easy.

Mother of Mine
is the most honest song I’ve ever written. It’s a thank you to the woman who held our family together when everything around us was falling apart.

My mom didn’t have an easy life  but she gave Ava and me everything she could. She worked late, cried quietly, and sacrificed her own dreams just to keep us safe. I saw her fight battles no child should ever witness, and I grew up fast because I wanted to carry the weight she never complained about.
This song is my way of telling her all the things I couldn’t say as a kid: that I saw her pain, that I saw her strength, and that everything good in me came from her.
If you were raised by a strong woman… if you watched your mother break and still stay gentle… if your whole heart is shaped by the love she gave you  then this song is for you too.

Is the truth I never said out loud. People talk about high school like it’s the best years of your life  but for me, it was a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from.

While other kids were laughing in the hallways, I walked around like a ghost, carrying problems no teenager should ever have. They had parties. I had fear.
They had futures. I had bills.
They had warm homes. I had a house full of silence and broken nights.
High school wasn’t freedom for me  it was pressure, noise, loneliness, and the constant feeling that I didn’t belong. The rumors, the fake smiles, the loud crowds… it all felt like a horror movie where I was trapped in the wrong scene.
I hated being there. I hated pretending I was fine. I hated walking those halls knowing I had to grow up faster than everyone else.
This song is every moment I swallowed, every panic I hid, every scream I never let out.
“High School Horror” is for anyone who never fit in, for anyone who carried too much too young, for anyone whose teenage years felt more like survival than memories.
For me, high school wasn’t a dream. It was a nightmare. But I survived.

A song about loss  the kind of loss that never stops echoing. It’s about watching someone you love slip away because of addiction, trying to save them, and realizing you were fighting against a monster bigger than all of you.
This song tells the story of a friend who used drugs to escape his pain, until the drugs took everything from him  including his life.
We tried to help him. We begged him to stop. We wanted him to stay. But addiction doesn't listen.
One day, he didn’t wake up. And life hasn’t been the same since.
This song is a warning, a message, and a memory: Don’t do drugs. They don’t care who you are. They don’t care who loves you. They take everyone the same way 
 fast and without mercy.

Ryan, we miss you. We think about you every day. This song is for you  and for the ones still fighting to stay alive.

No Rush is one of those songs that came straight from my real life. I’ve spent most of my years carrying things people my age didn’t even think about 
 bills, responsibility, family, survival.
 And somewhere in all of that, I realized something important: I don’t need to race anyone. I don’t need to compete. I don’t need to chase fame or be loud to matter.

I’m moving at my own speed. Slow, steady, peaceful. While the world runs after numbers and trends, I’m learning to breathe again… to enjoy the moments that kept me alive:
Ava laughing in the next room. My mom humming in the kitchen. Detroit lights hitting the windows late at night. Quiet. Simple. Real.
“No Rush” is my reminder to myself 
 and to anyone who feels overwhelmed  that it’s okay to take life slow. It’s okay not to be “fast enough” for the world. I’m not chasing fame. I’m chasing feeling.

“Meet Me in the Quiet” is a song about finding peace in another person  not through noise, not through chaos, but through silence.
For me, this song is a moment where two people, who’ve both lived through heavy things, finally find a place where they don’t have to fight anymore. Where nothing has to be rushed. Where no one has to be perfect.
I come from a loud life  responsibility, pressure, expectations, too much too early  and I learned that real connection doesn’t shout… it whispers.
This song is that meeting point: a space without fear, without hurry, without walls. Just two voices, two hearts, two stories learning how to breathe again.
