"Black Out" is a philosophical journey that delves into the conflicts and complexities of human nature, expressed through music. This track centers on two opposing selves locked in an intense struggle between truth and self-deception, responsibility, and evasion. This conflict is not just a dramatic narrative but also an inquiry into what "absolute evil" truly is and how it begins and amplifies within us. Musically, we aimed to fuse the raw energy of rock with the refined elements of K-pop to imbue the story with dynamic intensity. Rather than simply juxtaposing the two genres, we sought to construct a synergy where their strengths would deepen the essence of the narrative. Explosive guitar riffs and drums symbolize inner rage and suppressed desires, while delicate melodies and restrained electronic sounds capture moments of introspection and glimpses of hope amidst despair. This layered soundscape vividly reflects the theme of "inner conflict." In "Black Out," the "absolute evil" we sought to explore is not an external force but the cracks and chaos that originate within human beings. Evil often takes root in the responsibility we avoid and the self-deceptions we cling to. This song attempts to capture that process, highlighting how evil begins in moments of self-denial yet holds the possibility of being overcome through the courage to face it. We hope this song serves not merely as a release of emotion or a delivery of a message but as a mirror for listeners to reflect upon themselves. We want people, with their unique struggles and inner voices, to discover their own stories within this track. "Black Out" is a journey of confronting our imperfections and simultaneously experiencing the possibilities and limitations that arise from them. What we wish to share with you through this song is not an answer, but a question we hope to explore together.

Black Out

I am someone who carries deep-seated feelings of inferiority. I wanted to be someone else-not myself. The popular kids. Their clothes, the way they talked, the way they lived. I tried to mimic all of it. Even when I liked something, I pretended not to if they disliked it. Even if I didn't care, I longed for expensive clothes that were far out of my reach-just because they wore them. This song is, in a way, my confession. The more I tried to become like them, the more hollow I felt inside. No-rather than becoming like them, I realized I was becoming something else entirely. Something that could never fit their mold, no matter how much I forced it. I had few people around me I could call friends. And even fewer reasons to believe someone might like me. Eventually, I came to a realization: I didn't need to become someone else. What I truly wanted... was to be a delicate rose that draws bees with sweet fragrance- to show myself proudly to the world and be loved. But I wasn't a rose. All I could do was imitate its red hue. Flutter oversized petals, emit a grotesque sound, and release a stench that attracts only flies. A Rafflesia, hiding in a damp, sunless forest, waiting-hoping-that someone, someday, might find me. That's the kind of self I faced while writing Rafflesia Dance. Now, with this song, I'm here to kill the old me. That's all.
