Qasida Muhammadiya, East African style.  This is not my recording - I haven't recorded it, nor do I claim ownership.  I found this file in an old folder that I was cleaning out on a very old hard drive.

I don't know who the group is, or exactly where this is being performed.  All I know, is that *THIS* is what a mawlid should sound like.

Qasida Muhammadiya - East African Style

A clip from an all-Arabic mawlid medley by Nader Khan & The BlackSmiths, featuring the tail end of "Qamarun", followed by "Khairal Bariyya" and a spirited rendition of "Ya Imam Ar Rusli".

The BlackSmiths are: Taleb Ahmed on a 12 inch daff and backing vocals, Dean Morrison on the cajon, Salman Khan on a 22 inch daff, and Ahmed Ali on the tabla.

The clapping and ululating is from an enthusiastic and spirited audience.
