Knowing each other for quite some time the Munich based DJ Duo Käthe&Haes connected genuinely only after discovering their shared love for vinyl, house music and disco, while one night accidently ending up flowing through the city’s nightlife together. That’s when they decided on a whim to start bringing their grooves to the dance floor. Trough ever-changing rhythms and moments of letting loose, they create spaces of feel-good-camaraderie and musical portals to possible utopias. By breaking up repetitive monotonies and dichotomies of high- and lowbrow culture with fun, they aim for moments of ecstasy. Bringing their experiences back to their communities the two have also created the TurnTableTennis event series - an open-decks night where anyone who wants to can try their hand at the decks. With a mix of soul, house and disco Käthe&Haes will keep you on your toes dancing.

Mix:
Inspired by the raw and harsh winter that keeps surrounding us all, our mix is fueled by a deep yearning for alternate moods. At night, cities seem to be dead and empty at a first glance, yet something underneath rumors: The need to go out, get in touch with one another and dance. Although everything is stagnant, our minds move along, and spring is yet to come.

Inspired by the techno sound of Frankfurt in the early 90s (Harthouse, Eye Q etc.) and the many good parties, Reitzklang started djing techno and trance in 1994. Later, he focused on psychedelic trance. For the last 20 years he has concentrated on techno, progressive house and dub techno. He has been working as a producer for a year now.

We Are One Podcast Episode 163 - Timo Reitzklang

Tamer ElDerini pays homage to his Egyptian roots with a majestic organic house EP on Baikal Nomads, which also includes downtempo and progressive house remixes by BEBO (EG), Andrew Shartner, and G.O.D.A.

One of Egypt's most accomplished electronic music producers, Tamer ElDerini is a Cairo-based artist. His music combines traditional Middle Eastern instruments with modern electronic sounds. He is making his debut on Baikal Nomads following music on other respected record label such as Sol Selectas, • kosa •, Cosmic Awakenings, and Pipe & Pochet.

Complementing the two original tracks are three remixes. The first rework is by BEBO (EG), who is an Egyptian artist making music that's a cultural tapestry. Taking the tribal percussion of Afro house, he mixes in Middle Eastern melodies from his own heritage, and fuses them with electronic sounds. His tracks and remixes can be heard on the likes of Cafe De Anatolia and Shango Records.

Based in Western Siberia, Andrew Shartner is a Baikal Nomads regular, whose style is inspired by nature and its striking landscapes.

G.O.D.A. is another Egyptian artist, and he is an ambassador for Egypt's underground scene. He has played DJ sets all over the world, and his storytelling style has garnered an international fanbase. His organic style of progressive house has been released by prestigious record labels such as 3rd Avenue.

The title track, "Desert Voice," opens the release with a throbbing bass synth, laying a foundation for the enchanting melodies of Middle Eastern strings. "Dana Dana" is second of the original tracks, and its tranquil pads, Arabic vocals, and delicate piano melodies, intertwine with flowing percussion. BEBO (EG)'s remix of "Dana Dana" adds extra percussion and an arpeggio bassline, which brings an Afro house groove to the original's string melodies. Andrew Shartner delivers a downtempo remix of "Dana Dana," which strips out the strings to focus on trippy guitar chords. G.O.D.A. closes the release with a progressive house remix of "Desert Voice” that utilises a new melody and melodic pads.
