The liveset I played at Fusion Festival 2023. I had the honour to play the first set into the sunrise at Palapa Stage on sunday morning.

Two of our favourite things at lempuyang HQ are deep techno and curry. As one of Glasgow's best exports in recent years, Chris covers both bases. He also happens to be a shithot (geddit?!) DJ and producer. Chris first came to our attention after his contributions to the always excellent OHM Series label, and he was subsequently invited onto our annual 'Pura' V/A compilation, comfortably holding his own against heavyweights such as Hydergine, W-Moon & Merv.

In addition to the above, you'll also find Chris loitering in the rosters of Mixcult, Greyscale, and we highly recommend picking up the excellent Sons of San release on Verdant.

We really had such a wonderful time on 24th Aug 2025 when we were testing the headphone set-up for the MLD goes silent sessions, what turned out as a first edition of Elektrik Café Berlin, together with our collaborator Gijs Gruijters, playing a wonderful modular set under his artist moniker SHIFTY, together with He Ling and Bian Bian from China and also a set from Sai, what you can listen here now 

Everything was glued together smoothly and the sound with the bluetooth connection is really great! The whole concept builds a wonderful atmosphere with the gloomy headphones while sitting inside, diving into the music and the venue, also with video art installations... or sitting outside in fresh air, watching people passing by and inviting them to join. A big thanks also to Krumm & Schief Café at Prenzl Berg, who lent us their nice venue as the perfect location for this project.
